mr.ots 10 Posted July 19, 2016 Does anyone have the specific specs on the front to rear brake ratio? I've fitted a new rear proportioning valve and I'd like to set it as accurately as possible using line gauges. I've done a lot of searching and the closest info I could find suggests it's somewhere around 65% front to 35% rear. Any definitive answers out there? sankysvr6 0 Posted July 19, 2016 according to the Bently manual Front axle = 50 bar Rear axle = 27-33 bar Front axle = 100 bar Rear axle = 48 - 54 bar
mr.ots 10 Posted July 19, 2016 according to the Bently manual Front axle = 50 bar Rear axle = 27-33 bar Front axle = 100 bar Rear axle = 48 - 54 bar Thanks for the info. So taking the centre value for the rears that works out at 62.5% front bias at 50 bar and 66.3% at 100 bar so 65/35 was about right. I'll get adjusting 😊 Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
mr.ots 10 Posted July 19, 2016 Thanks for the additional info easypops. I also found this link which gives the procedure for setting the regulator. http://workshop-manuals.com/volkswagen/corrado/v6-2792cc_2.8l_dohc/brakes_and_traction_control/hydraulic_system_brakes/brake_pressure_regulator_-_load_compensator_rear_wheel_brakes/component_information/adjustments/ Time permitting, I'll give this a go at the weekend.
