Vr6 starter motor

Recommended Posts

Well my exchange starter from gsf has broken! Never had that before. In fact never even heard of it happening 😠😠

Tested mine the armature turns but not the drive gear in the clutch mechanism so it looks like it's broken or separated inside.

Anyone got a spare or even one that doesn't work but may be useful for spares?

Thanks

Have you got an App. Called Wattsup? I could send you over a short video

Clip showing that it actually works..

No i haven't. I'll install something shortlt but if you say it works I'm sure you won't be trying to deceive me! I'll be getting in touch with gsf today as well as rhis kind if failure of a starter really should not happen at all.

Ideally I'd need to replace it asap as i have a few days off this week.

Golf V5 ones fit too Hasan. Have a higher output load too so theyre like little turbines when cranking. :thumbleft:

...and fitted. Forgot what a headache it was to get the top bolt fitted. Had to lift the engine so that the car started to lift before the bolt lined up.

Starts very nicely now, like a little turbo charger! I guess the previous one was just painted and labelled as refurbished. This one does actually look refreshed.
