Cressa 44 Posted November 30, 2016 Anyone tried the Aldi version? I was looking to treat the Corrado to a nice CTEK all singing battery charger this Xmas. But, found this Aldi version for £13.99 so I'm going to give it a try. I am pinching the CTEK idea and am just cutting the normal ends off and fitting some superseal connectors. This is to allow me to have a little discreet plug in loom permanently connected to the battery, whilst allowing me to still use the clamp fittings if needed. For that price I thought I'd give it a go. Lcd and lots of functions. This may be a cheap fix to the slow battery drain of an under used car Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
VR6 South 0 Posted November 30, 2016 I have two of these. One for the Corrado and one for the Golf. They have worked perfectly for at least three years now. The only downside is that they don't seem to work with batteries which are fully discharged.
Cressa 44 Posted November 30, 2016 Sound good. It does say it has a 'reactivating deep discharged 12v batteries' To be fair I've bought it for the trickle charge function. So if that works, result. And if it works for 3 years like yours I'll be happy for the price. And with a 3 year guarantee. Bargain Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

Cressa 44 Posted December 1, 2016 I thought mine was faulty. I plugged it in and the screen just flashed at me and wouldn't do anything. I Thought it was broke. Damn. But connected it to a battery and that's when it bursts into life...thank God. Note to self. ..I must read the instructions properly when buying things Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
