AC lines for 95 VR6?

Recommended Posts

While removing the dryer (to replace it) the line that goes on front of the radiator (aluminium pipe) snapped off at the fitting, anyone know if it's possible to get replacement for these, or any tips on what to use to replace it or "repair" it?.

It's the one that goes under the dryer and then turns back 180 degreee and into the dryer,,....(it doesn't seem to show any good in illustration in VW parts software so unsure if it got it's own part-number)

I wouldn't have thought it had a VW part no. As I thought they were a Diavia aftermarket fit at the dealers.

It may be possible to get a hose made up.

I'll have a look as I have a couple of aircon spares for mine

He said he put about 600gms in. Definitely more than I had in the last time and worked fine

Mawrick, I think I have the pipe you are after (see attached images) - the threads are pretty good, too!

It came off a LHD Corrado A/C condenser (I don't need it as all my A/C pipes are on the gearbox side).

I had a problem sourcing new pipes for mine when a company had damaged the threads. After a long search I managed to get a mobile AC guy that does lorry's,tractors, diggers etc to come and make a hose, charge the system etc.

I am up in Aberdeen, and the guy travelled 45 miles to help me out.

A bit late - but here is the sticker that shows info about the AC:

(One might have to download it and zoom in to see the values...:) )
