Hi all i'm trying to find what camshaft my G60 has in it but i cant seem to find any information, it's stamped 625 114 G60 on the end. Any help would be great

Hello there,

 

I've been doing a bit of digging around,

possibly could be just the batch identity number or something like that ?

 

Looks like this camshaft was used in some of the MK2 Golfs, MK2 Jettas, Corrado's, MK3 Golf and a few others.

 

This is the information from VW Classic Parts below that I found.

 

Part number 026 109 101 A

 

Camshaft M >> 2E 565 664 * PG

 

Camshaft for Corrado with eng codes PG / 2E

 

Length 410mm

Overall diameter 45mm

Hey Si,

 

Thank you very much for that information.

 

The car was originally sold to me with the information that it was running a race cam but I was suspicious with the car having a smooth idle.

 

At least I can now go ahead and find an actual aftermarket cam for my rebuild.
