Rear beam bushes alignment 12.5 degrees 270 degress?!!

Recommended Posts

So I have a rear beam press setup ready to go (using pitman puller method from the net) but I'm not sure on you align the "ears"97d7079be08176e3271465d9b65d16bb.jpg of the bush up with the rear axle. Anyone know and care to explain.

Note reason title says two different angles is because if seen two different angles mentioned is separate posts

EDIT: I am (now) aware that the bushes are positioned the wrong side on the attached photo

You have the bushes the wrong way around in the frame to start with.

The ears go to the inside, with the tab towards the front of the vehicle.

Haha thank you Graphite, ironic thing is I put them in that way to start to test the principle would work with the setup; and then changed it round to take these photos as I thought my instinct was wrong and I'd get the **** taken .

Ok so got them pretty much in. Worked off a post from kev haywire saying 270 degrees so that the slits in the bush are vertical which works out about 15 degrees from the horizontal plane of the beam (if that makes Sense)

Anyhow next question. How far should they be pushed in? I'm sure I saw a post somewhere saying be careful not to go in too far, can't check how they were to start as the original beam is still on car? ebb71ee2bf4d0e6851379b0bc79934d7.jpg
