Jim Bowen 1 Posted May 27, 2017 Since getting car back in the road I've had bit of misfire at lower revs and under load. Comes and goes but is there more than it isn't there. Checked coilpack and leads today as it feels the same as when they break down. Did a vagcom and a cam position sensor came up so swapped that, also thought I'd change fuel filter as car sat for a year with a little bit of fuel in it. Anyway, when i started car up to check for fuel leaks on filter i noticed water being blown out from where the cat joins to the back boxes. Seems to be quite a bit dripping out, car idled fine and no steam from the tailpipe. Waiting for it to cool so i can tighten the clamp. Just weird. Coolant seems to be a stable level, but only dobe about 100miles so far.
delfinis38 1 Posted May 27, 2017 I get lots of condensation in the exhaust if I've not used it for a long time... took mine off recently and got nearly a half a pint out.
dr_mat 0 Posted May 27, 2017 Yes but it shouldn't come from there unless the exhaust has a leaky joint. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
Jim Bowen 1 Posted May 27, 2017 Yeah i think it's definitely blowing there. Think i need a better clamp. On a positive note i think the new cam sensor has fixed the misfire feeling. Mpg has gone up too, was about 22mpg.
