Jim Bowen 1 Posted May 28, 2017 Just reading online and someone mentioned the alignment of the bracket that holds pas pump and alternator on. After the noises and pas pump bearing failing I'm wondering about this. There are two bolts with a shoulder/blank section on them, i recall seeing them but not sure i used them when i refitted it, i just used standard bolts. Can't see it mentioned in Bentley manual, does anyone know which two holes those bolts go into? Got a noise again after changing pas pump, but its a different sound and higher up. Harrier 1 Posted May 28, 2017 I'm not certain but reasonably sure the holes in the bracket that accept the shouldered bolts are a little smaller than the others.
Jim Bowen 1 Posted May 28, 2017 Dammit. I can see me having to check now. Probably refit the bracket.
Jim Bowen 1 Posted May 28, 2017 Just been out and found the two bolts, Also had a spare bracket, there are only two holes the bolts will fit in. Guess it's going to be a busy day tomorrow. Will need to remove front end...
