robrado974 1 Posted July 24, 2017 I noticed a wet patch on the tarmac of the drive yesterday. I've located the leak to the plastic housing that sits on the rad . Do I need to get a new top housing or can I remove it , clean it and apply some gasket sealer ?. Kind regards, Rob .
Jim Bowen 1 Posted July 24, 2017 Can't see the pic due to photobucket being dicks. Is it the elbow? Have fixed mine in the past with a new o ring and some sealant. I use the rolson o rings. Can get a box of over 400 for less than £10. Useful to have and used them on quite a few things.

robrado974 1 Posted July 25, 2017 For what they cost , I may as well buy a new one .
fendervg 33 Posted July 25, 2017 They can warp with the heat over time - not expensive, so I'd just get a new one, and don't over tighten the two securing nuts or it will crack. It's a stupid design anyway - I can't see why the rad doesn't just have an inlet pipe moulded on to it.
