reggiebaby 10 Posted September 22, 2017 (edited) Help needed, can anyone tell me why after having all the coolant system apart and replacing the stat all hoses I can't seem to stop it leaking from the small hose which runs from the top of the rad back to the expansion tank? It's 1.8 16v. Edited September 22, 2017 by reggiebaby

reggiebaby 10 Posted September 23, 2017 So had a look into the problem and it seems the leak is coming from the top of the rad where the fixing bracket slides into the top of the rad, took the bracket off and coolant is ****ing out strange any body ever had this? Looks like it's a new rad.
Blakey77 10 Posted September 23, 2017 Sometimes if the mounting rubbers are missing or the mounts are overtightened, it can crack the rad. Sent from my ZTE BLADE A512 using Tapatalk

Blakey77 10 Posted September 23, 2017 Check if they're the same length as the originals, if they're longer, that could be the issue. As the rad heats up and expands, something has to give. Sent from my ZTE BLADE A512 using Tapatalk
