loepan 11 Posted June 26, 2018 Probably been asked a 1000 times but buggered if I can find the answer can a..... part number 1h0 919 506 a....... be used as a replacement for..... 1h0 919 506 whats the 'a' signify
vw rule 19 Posted June 27, 2018 Possibly might be that the original part number for that item in question, just had the numbers at the end, then when a updated version of the same part replaced the original, you get the single letter at the end. Also can mean that it fits Passat / Golf as well as Corrado ? Also I think sometimes the A at the end can mean for automatic vehicle only, but that's only on certain parts. Hope this helps Si
vw rule 19 Posted June 27, 2018 (edited) 1H0 919 506 (Corrado / MK3 Golf) 1H0 919 506A (MK3 Golf 1992 to 1994 / VW Passat) 1H0 919 506B (VW Vento) I think these have 12pins total. The smaller pins have 8, the larger pins have 3 or 4 i.e in the two connection plugs. Ebay item number 291823205559 £19.99 with free postage. This is a new part with your original part number of 1H0 919 506 But it's from China so I don't know regarding quality ? Hope this helps Si Edited June 27, 2018 by vw rule
Fine wine, Belgian chocs. 1 Posted July 23, 2018 I bought one of the Chinese ones a few years back. It looked fine and worked fine (but it didn't solve the problem I had so I flogged it on and put the original back on after a couple of weeks).
