Snapped lambda wire

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Hi all,

I had my 93' VR6 in for an MOT just before I went on holiday, it failed on emissions even though I had a new CAT fitted before that. After looking around I come across a snapped wire on the Lambda harness. I was going to just try to rejoin or put a new pin on, but I'm a little confused.

The wire which has snapped looks like it's yellow, which you can see, but the other side looks to be white, but with a black wire in there as they are two wires together. Anyone know off hand which wire should go to the offset pin so I can go repin it.

Cheers all

Can't see a black wire - the lambda sensors come in different versions with different wiring connectors, so it looks like someone may have just bodged one to wire it up to the existing loom - if it was original the colours to the connector would definitely be the same. I'd say just match the broken one to the loose one and you should be ok.
