dinkus 10 Posted August 10, 2004 I got mine from GSF, who were the cheapest for my VR
daves16v 1 Posted August 10, 2004 Cheers Dom, do they sell the VAG bumpstops too?
Supercharged 2 Posted August 10, 2004 Yep, the FEBI bumpstops GSF sell are better than VW as they are rubber not foam. also try... http://www.vwspares.co.uk/ Same stuff but cheaper than GSF.
dinkus 10 Posted August 10, 2004 Yup, they do bumpstops too. I've gone for proper VAG stuff on my car, but where there's a cheaper, just as good alternative I've gone with GSF parts.

King_prawn 0 Posted August 10, 2004 I would recommend buying VAG top mounts as the GSF ones ive bought are crap. They flex quite badly when you push down on the wing, maybe its the stiffness of the FK springs thats doing it but i plan to replace them before getting the suspension geometry checked. Si B 0 Posted August 12, 2004 As King Prawn says, go for VAG top mounts. I fitted some non VAG ones which failed an MOT 4,000 miles later, and they were totaly shot. I have also seen this happen on mates' cars so it wasn't a one off. Also, when fitting them, make sure that the bearing is properly packed with grease. If it is not then it is likely to wear out quicker than is should. The snag is that the mounts are about £30 a pop from the stealer :(
