Pinking G60 - Suggestions?

Recommended Posts

It had a new knock sensor 2 months ago and the loom seems okay.

Optimax petrol being used.

Anything in particular to check apart from the usual timingetc?i

also the blue temp sender... this normally causes overfuelling, but can also cause underfuelling if it fails in a slightly less normal way...

I take it you've checked the resistance of the CO pot and that it's working OK?

Check the Knock Sensor harness back to the ECU.

The knock sensor operates with very low voltages, it has no amp-op built in.

So any damage in the wiring or even in corroded connectors are able to cause this situation.

Also check for correct torque 15nm setting and 6º timing set for safe.

What else upon all replys...

Keep posting mate!

We´re here to help! :D

Does it occur all the time? Or is it a heat induced problem? Bearing in mind the high ambient temps we have seen recently.
