The Company was saying about a Superchip. If it is possible is Superchip the only one avalible :?:
Joe M 0 Posted May 14, 2003 The 2.0 16v can be chipped as it has an ecu, for the 1.8 I think your only option is a k-star. http://www.milfordmicros.co.uk/home/default.asp

aposegil 0 Posted May 15, 2003 Hello the only thing i can say is that u can't chip the 1.8 & 2L 16v ecu's. All they control is timing and ignition. As for adding a 2nd ecu like the K-star of V-sam i prefer to spend the money on quality engine work or some quality tires. As far as i know people have told me it makes very little difference to the performance and not worth the money. alex 2.1 16v 1.3 turbo http://www.e1k-acecafe.co.uk http://www.betlot.com ccgb 1372

Anyone running throttle bodies on the 1.8 16v?
CazzaVR 0 Posted May 15, 2003 Alex, am sure you can chip a 2.0 16v. Superchips and powerchips do a plug and play chip, whilst I'm pretty sure places like AmD and Stealth do custom remaps. Anybody had it done? Is it worth the dosh?
aposegil 0 Posted May 16, 2003 Well i know there is chips available for our cars but i cant see how u can change much when the ECU only control the timing and ignition. Now if you talk about mkIII 16 yes you can chip them as they have actualy electronic injectors and have a fueling map on it. Remember all corrado 16v's use mechanical injection so all we have is nozzle injectors otherwise its just a fancy carb system also cheesy personally i woundt go for carbs as the expensive to run always need adjusting and maintaince and for around that money u can do other mods which would be better alex 2.1 16v 1.3 turbo http://www.e1k-acecafe.co.uk http://www.betlot.com ccgb 1372
