sport air filter to 1.8 16V

[VW Corrado 16V 0]

I want to buy a sport air filter (probably FK Automotive) for my 1.8 16V. But in the catalog there is only for 2.0i, G60, VR6... Is this filter is the same and for the 1.8 16V. Any problems with fitting... (sport air filter for factory box) Also this filter is the same for Golf 2 16V and Jetta...

Its the same one as the Mk2 Golf 16v. Most folk just use a K&N.

K&N panel filter is about the only option with K-Jetronic injection. Not possible to change the housing as this forms part of the injection system.

you could always use the stoeve motorsport induction filter or an pipercross system

K&N is twice expensive from the FK Automotive. Will I feel the difference?

 

Are there problems with tuning panel filter in the winter. I know that with induction kit the car warm up slowly.

k+n and drilled box worked for me, although pipercross do a cone type that replaces the air box, I think flusted has one on here if i remember correctly with a carbon heat shield

Any details on drilling the airbox. Sounds obvious to me but I assume there is a 'proper' way of doing it...

There is a "how to" somewhere for this cos its what i used-does anyone know where it is? i though it was on the corrado club scottish region website but its not. PS its well worth the effort.

my bottom half of the airbox has the corner cut off for a VERY LOUD subaru style induction kit noise.

You could buy that off me to try for £8 inc the delivery if you want?
