That is one clean looking engine. I dread to think how many hours have gone into this rebuild. Looks like you have got everything sorted, right down to thew valve caps!! 8)

On my VR6, i've seen the oil temperature go up to 126 I think i should get one of these oil coolers as they seem a good buy. How easy are they to fit? Does anyone have one for sale?? Cheers guys

I was once walking out of a store to my car (A golf GTI) And a bus just drove by and hit the front driver side wing. I Couldn't believe it, and gave chase on foot! When the bus pulled over at the next stop, i jumped on (still with groceries in hand!!) and told him. He wasn't having any of it, so i started raising my voice in front of all the passengers and demanding that he come back and see the damage. He came back, and cos it was dark, all we could see was a damaged alloy, broken wing mirror,indicator cover, and a slighlty warped front wing... Got all his details eventually. He thought it was my fault for parking on a single yellow at 9pm!! Spoke to Stagecoach and was sent a cheque for £800!! Went to the breakers, got a wing mirror and lense for a tenner, wheel refurbed, and wing sucked out, all for £100. Nice little earner!! Sold the car, and used the extra £700 to go towards my lovely new VR. Always a silver lining... :D Hope something good may result for you Phat

I test dorve a 350Z with my father over the weekend. It was fully loaded with all the kit, 18" Rays, Bose system, Orange leather. The car was awesome, it had amazing pick up in all gears, and the handling was excellent. Compared with his R34 GTR (which is a much bigger car) it felt almost as good through the turns AND almost as fast!! For £24k, or £27k with the kit, that is simply a great buy! And that sunset colour rules!! 8)

Cheers guys. That money is now burning a hole in my pocket, and for £250, can't argue with that. :D How easy is the whole process from ordering the plate to getting it on the car? I suppose all relevent documents have to be changed immediately, like MOT, V5, etc...

Yeah like G60Dan says, your money would be better spent on a well looked after example. At that age you really need a full service history, especially with 135k on it. The other day there was a 90 1.8 16v with leather, 1 owner from new, and 89K on it going for £1795 on autotrader. That would've been a sound buy and it had fvwsh!! If your just buying a car to whack a different engine in, at least buy one that has been looked after and maybe even a little newer!! :D
