As I said in the last post they are vac/air operated like the doors. If it were me I'd be getting the original system working correctly rather than cobbling in an aftermarket solution.

Have you a Bentley manual? There's a detailed diagnostic check in it. The locks including he petrol tank and boot are all vac/air actuated

I did it earlier this year to my 8v using mk3 vr6 parts. I think it improved the car. Perhaps it's just personal preference but the extra castor for me gives better stability at speed and turn in.

Hi, I picked up a second hand magnex cat back recently. The rearmost hanger on the back box has been modified at some point and is welded to the top of the silencer as opposed to the bottom as per stock. Any ideas why someone would have donw this and what kind of hanger I could use without having to pull out the welder.

In a word, no. I have not heard of this group. Perhaps you could provide me with some info.Nor me! Just sent a join request

I have the use of a hydraulic one like the sealey one, brilliant tool, safer than the threaded type and won't damage the paint on the springs. Just remember not to hold the strut by the spring seat and release the pressure, don't ask how I know...

We're dedicated to VR ownership over here, 1400 euro per annum...

Hi Ian, it's pretty hard to stomach the tax on a VR in Ireland but if you can go for it! As Sean says not a fantastic selection for sale here, you would be better searching the UK and budgeting for VRT

I still can't understand how this hasn't been snapped up. Great, reliable, economical route into Corrado ownership.Agreed, I'm really enjoying my 8v as a daily
