  1. hey all, im looking at getting the rsr outlet kit, bbm want bank details faxed/emailed to them before order to prove i haven't nicked the card, bar tek do a similar one but angled (which i don't need as no a/c), and im not willing to pay £190 from OCD as tad over priced when bbm and bar tek are cheaper

     

    anyone had any dealings with these companys and would recommend which one to go for?


  2. for 650, iv'e been quoted stage 2 on the charger with fitting and a new oil feed pipe, a stage 2 tuning kit, which is 68mm pulley, smaller belt, chip and ev6 injectors

  3. halfords oil is made by comma who also make mobil oil, but there is only a very few brands that do a true fully synthetic, and halfords 5w30 vauxhall/opel spec is one of them and mobil 10w60 motorsport which meets the specifications of older vw engines and high mileage cars


  4. as far as i know it's still factory engine wise possibly super wide belt conversion on the charger, but i hae no history on what work has been done on the supercharger, but i do for the rest of the car

     

    (but i've enquired with dubforce tuning and jabba about having it put to stage 2 with their fitting and chip to suit)

     

    just quickly what size is the standard pulley on a g60? 78/75mm?

I ended up swapping them out for mk3 ones, but not sure if i have fitted right, i followed a guide on the net, but doesnt seem right, i took the strut out and top mount off, dropped the bearing on first and then the top mount, but the nut that was on the strut just went through the mount, and the bearing didnt mount when nipped up so ended up having to invert thr bearing put it back together in the car, runs smooth and right, but when i dropped it back to the car, normally when you turn the wheels the top plate turns, now it just kind of tilts as the wheels turn

     

     

    Help!?


  6. hey all, my g60 (111k miles on clock) is feeling abit lumpy on tick over and sits at 1k revs or just over all the time, when you accelerate it's fine (except once when i was going a tad quick and it started to bounce abit, but i think that was a one off from either road or engine as it hasn't happened since) pick up is like new, just tick over it feels abit tractory and you can hear it in the engine bay when you look under the bonnet, the car was stood from mid 2005 to mid/late 2013.

     

    im thinking it could either be idle valve (which i don't know where it is) or air fuel mix and running abit richer than it should

     

    earlier tonight i pulled over, got the bonnet up and had a look to see if i could see or hear a leak but couldn't, but when i revved it i could hear besides the exhaust rattling, a clicking coming from a little black round unit with about 3 or 4 pipes coming from it (fuel pressure regulator), and there is abit of noise coming from the inlet manifold too, possible replace it with this? http://www.bar-tek-tuning.com/cgi-bin/cosmoshop/lshop.cgi?action=showdetail&wkid=3240&ls=en&nc=1389471194-4168&rubnum=&artnum=2160014&file=6&gesamt_zeilen=0Tsuche--idle


  7. what would be the best front top mounts to get for my g60 91? it's standard, but my top mounts are about had it, i want to uprate them just purely for making them last, if it helps with handling even better, what are the best to go for?


  8. I just tried something on my way home, while om moving i press the clutch to the floor and rev my engine at say 40mph i accelerate and next thing im doing 80 and i let go of the clutch and im doing 40 again, could it be samething?


  9. hey all, im having issue with my speedo cable on my 91 g60, i don't know why as it was fine the day before doing about 200+ miles, but all of a sudden my speedo has started doing it's own thing, i could be doing 30 and it randomly jumps to 40 then drops again, i accelerate, it wont move then all of a sudden it jumps to like 80, i was on the a38 on the way home, getting onto the slip road at about 30, i put my foot down and next thing i was doing 100 then dropped to 60 then bounced up when i hit 70

     

    only work i've had done recently is tyres (same size), tracking and fitted a rieger front spoiler, i had a similar thing happen on my golf when i swapped the dials round (2nd hand ones cos i wanted a rev counter)

     

    any ideas?

Apparently the car was stored from 2005 till about augustthis year but passed on the mot with no issues, which is annoying cos my exhaust rubbers have been replaced too many times with the pipes not meeting correctly and blowing, so im thinking thr guy i bought it from may have done a deal with tester and missed alot, but i can get new control arms on the front with new bushes off ebay, did that on my golf and was amazing to turn in, do you think it might be worth going polly bush all round?
