    Which Alloys?

Try these pages. Not sure if they're what you were looking for though.......................... http://www.rimstock.co.uk/visualiser/pa ... orrado.asp http://www.tyrespot.co.uk/Powersurge/news.html (not running just yet)
  3. This was a rumour for a while but 'apparently' someone at Audi has stated that the RS name will be for A4 and A6 models only. The S name will be for all models and should include an S3 late next year with between 280 and 300 bhp. I've been keeping my ear to the ground hoping an S3 sportback gets built.
  4. Jedi I don't think you'll find a 225 model for under £14K unless it's got starship (we built this city.... ) mileage. Go for a low mileage immaculate 210 one and have it chipped by a reputable company. There's plenty of them out there. Buyers guide here http://www.tyresmoke.net/ubbthreads/sho ... e/0#223858 Try this place for a good selection. They're also Revo chip suppliers http://www.fontain.co.uk/stocklist.asp Also have a look on here, it's not the most popular forum but I found a lot of good info when my wife looked at getting one http://www.rs246.com/index.php?name=PNp ... wforum&f=3 and I think someone already mentioned this one http://www.audi-sport.net/ubbthreads/po ... Board=a3s3
  5. Has to be the Enzo for me please in black
  6. I think he must be talking about the 3000 GTO which was twin turbo'd..........
  7. Surely Shome Mishtake! That car is worth £8K minimum all day long. I'd say It's either a damage repairable or a mistake with the price.
  8. Seems to be a reasonable price. Volkswizard have a G60 syncro for sale at £3500 just now. http://www.volkswizard.co.uk/carsforsale/h889xab.htm
  9. http://www.rallyclassified.com/photo.php?cat=18&de=511 Found this while trawling the net at coffee break time. I wonder how successful it would have been??
  10. I can't rate admiral highly enough. I only moved 18 months ago because my bank bettered the deal by quite a bit. 4 1/2 years ago I was smacked head on by a boy racer in a Nova jumping a red light and my car needed substantial repairs to the front (immaculate E30 325i convertible). The car value was 6K and the repair costs were just under 4K but they went ahead and repaired it at one of Aberdeen's best body shops and gave me a hire car. Excellent service.
  11. Excellent job Paul. Believe it or not the guy Mike you bought it off had an oak green mk2 16v before the Corrado. He'd have loved what you've done with it. 8)
  12. Here's my tuppence worth.... If you're thinking of spending money on a transplant I'd just go for a 1988 onwards 250hp turbo. A mate of mine has run one for about 18 months now and it's been bullet proof and it's plenty fast in standard form. Porsche always seem to make every single BHP accessible. Ok, MPG isn't great (avg 22) but he does less than 3K a year so isn't an issue. Servicing is also fairly cheap these days using specialists, he gets and oil change and check up done at a Porsche garage every 6 months and does the rest himself (he's a mechanic after all). The car has done 130K and is still on it's original turbo and I can testify that it is still sweet as a nut. I wouldn't mind one myself.
  13. Yeah, it's Moscow. Here's the story from the BeeEmm driver http://www.m5board.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=44988
  14. Mmmm! Yes and no VW have been overcharging for their cars for years but then so has the whole car industry (UK anyway). GTi is a global brand recognised by most car enthusiasts as VW. People have been willing to pay a premium for this brand since the 70's even when the slow mk3 8v and mk4 non turbo GTi were trashed in the press as floaty boats. Yes, there are cheaper alternatives out there but they don't have the history or the kudos that the GTi brand has; this, coupled with the fact that VW's image people cannot be seen to price their cars to compete with Honda, seat, Skoda etc, means that prices will be high. Finally, judging by how many new A3's I see around Aberdeen the new GTi will sell like hot cakes.
  15. Playing Devils Advocate here but............... If you take it in 3 door (better re-sale). Standard 6 speed (you're still paying for new technology with DSG and you can't get it in 3 door) and keep the standard 17" alloys (18's will probably ruin the ride and handling). Stick with the pretty decent looking cloth interior (who REALLY needs leather? and you end up with a car at a similar price to the mk3 VR6 Golf when it was top of the Golf pile. I think VW have pitched the new GTi at a similar level to the VR6 a few years back. The 8v and 16v Golfs were a good bit cheaper and todays cheaper sporty versions are the FSI models. God! I hope that makes sense, it does in my head anyway :?
