  1. 4 Star look after my E30 325 'vert and they do know their onions. Always top money motors, but they do sell them..
  2. 92/K Moonlight Blue VR6 Autocar, 29th April 1992: ?It's a classic, the VR6, and its talents run so deep that it takes a while for them to sink in completely. Certainly, if in 20 years time, it appeared on the cover of some classic car magazine with a headline saying 'One of the all-time greats', we wouldn?t be surprised?. I still have my copy of this magazine from when I was 15, and have loved the Corrado ever since, but it took until earlier this year for me to be able to actually own one of my ?hero cars? and ? despite the famous old adage - I have not been disappointed. It is an epic car, and well deserving of the plaudits. It is therefore with great regret that I have to offer this very good example of automotive greatness for sale. I have been using it as a daily driver (including transporting the kids, who love it, around in it) and have concluded it isn?t quite practical enough for this purpose, and I can?t afford to keep it and buy another ?daily? (otherwise I would!!) so it will have to go. The headlines: ? 1992/K, Moonlight Blue; ? 102k miles (less than 5k miles per year!); ? Very good service history (VW main dealer and specialist until 80k miles) including recent (expensive!) inspection/service; ? MOT until March 2015; ? Interior virtually perfect; ? Mechanical condition superb; ? Body work good for age. The details: As a 92/K reg car this is one of the first VR?s. It is ?Moonlight Blue?. I bought it in May this year, from a chap who had owned it for the previous 7 years, with 99k miles, and have spent an enormous amount of money having John Mitchell Racing go over it with a fine tooth comb, service it and address some faults it had. As a result, I consider it likely that this car may be in the best possible mechanical condition that could be expected of a 22 year-old car. Everything works as it should ? common faults like sticky/faulty heater controls, central locking, sunroof and spoiler don?t affect this car. The service it had included new fluids throughout (inc PAS fluid), filters, new spark plugs, new front discs and pads and a new distributor cap and rotor arm (it's an OBD1 car). Prior to my ownership, and the recent past, the car has benefited from replacement master and slave cylinders and a water pump. The original suspension was tired, so - along with new top mounts - I had a set of AP coilovers fitted by JMR. These are height adjustable ? I like the height and stance the car has, but it can be raised if desired. Now with newly refurbished unmarked alloys and new Yokohama AD08 tyres all round the handling (and grip!) is sublime. Other than the coilovers, the only other ?non-standard? parts of the car are the gearknob and the exhaust. The exhaust is a Powerflow system which gives a very purposeful edge to the noise without being at all intrusive. I have removed the ?snorkel? from the front of the airbox which provides a superb induction noise as the revs climb. The service history is VW main dealer and specialist up until 80k and the previous owner did his own services (receipts available). JMR then serviced the car in July this year. Body wise, the car had a ?blow-over? respray whilst in the ownership of the previous keeper, so is in pretty good shape ? there are some stonechips a couple of car park ?dings? but nothing OTT bearing in mind the age and mileage. The worst bit is some rust around the rear window. JMR say this can be sorted, but it would probably be as quick (and cheaper) to buy a replacement good condition tailgate from here! The front splitter (90mm) has taken a few knocks in it?s lifetime, but I have a virtually new one ready to go on. The interior is virtually perfect, and even includes the first aid kit. There is a light patina to the steering wheel to give away the car?s age, but that?s about it. There are cheaper examples around, but I have priced this to take account of it?s mechanical condition and originality. **Final price drop due to arrival of new car** List Date: 10/21/2014 Location: Surrey, United Kingdom For more info, click here to view the original listing: 92/K Moonlight Blue VR6 -------------------------------------- SOLD -------------------------------------- Mobile friendly version: 92/K Moonlight Blue VR6 Go Mobile: Download the free Panjo iOS app now!
  3. I'm after the driver's external window scraper, the parcel shelf, the gear knob (without gaiter if you're prepared to split?), the steering column surround if you have it (and it's in good nick, and for an adjustable column) and, if you have it and it's the one with the 'unleaded' script, the blank button to the right of the steering wheel please? I'll PM you as well.. :)
  4. Interested in the fogs/indicators. Will PM when not in my crappy phone!
  5. I'm interested also.. Good matching set of tyres on mine.. :thumbleft:
  6. Ta! If that person didn't need the driver's door scraper and was willing to split it from the package could you let me know? That's actually the only bit I need.. :)
  7. Cracking info, ta - just been out to check and mine is indeed late.. :thumbleft: Also just found this thread, which will answer most of my future noob questions as well!! http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=6237
  8. I'm interested in these.. just need to work out if I need early or late spec! '92 K-plate VR (OBD1) if anyone can offer an opinion??
  9. So popped in and met John last week - nice chap, clearly knows his stuff.. Booked in for service next week.. :thumbleft:
  10. I'll have this if it's not already gone, and assuming it's in full working order? I have a friend in Brum who I'd probably ask to collect for me. PM sent for payment details.
  11. If you wouldn't mind? That would be awesome. Happy for a PM if you'd prefer? :thumbleft:
  12. Sweet. This is what I was hoping for (expecting?)..
  13. Good to know. He must have a rep, otherwise Autocar wouldn't have referred to him as their expert in the recent buying guide they did, but I guess I was hoping I'd get a string of replies singing his praises. I don't mind travelling if the job's going to be done to a cracking standard..
  14. Cool.. Their website (well, front page - that's all they've got!) seems to suggest they're into their air-cooled classics. Have they worked on many 'rados (yours?)?
  15. Most of what needs doing (even the service) I could do, I just don't have the time.. :( I notice that no-one is jumping to JMRs' defence so looks like a bit of a no-go possibly..?
  16. Yes, on reading again, clearly! Doh! :bonk:
  17. Oh.. :( You're local to me Jamie - any recommendations?
  18. Yeah, seen his website but also this thread: http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=84059 Not the same guy?
  19. Carried on searching and I believe John is on here? Dragon Green? Is that you John? Are you any good?
