  1. How damaged is the paint? Sure it looks really bad . But that does not mean the paint is as bad as it looks. But get the car to someone who just works with dents. They are really good at these kinds of things and does more then often have plenty of solutions for the paint job! Try filling the dent out with a brown wax pencil then polish it out with a nice and good wax. But since it being such a rare paint you might have some problem finding the right color on the wax pen. Try different types of pens and see what works best. Of course you will notice a small change in the paint. But it will look better then it does now =)
  2. Nice find indeed. Not often this happens
  3. Always and option! I will hold you to that! just the Visual that's different on the Storm? Or something in the engine bay?
  4. Looks nice! Looks less flashy and more stylish when it's' not very 'sparkly'
  5. Of course! The golden rule of forums! Search first! But I'd' thought I'd throw a couple of questions in this thread seeing it's my first thread =D
  6. Imports are always an option. Seeing that they sell quite some Corrados on this forum from the UK. Also the cars are cheaper in the UK  Besides, having Swedens only 'Storm' does not have too bad of a ring to it in my ears. Of course additional research would be required before I could state this! EDIT: It's almost cheaper to import an car from the UK then having to travel to the other side of Sweden to just have a look at one! If I find a good car here on the forums most of the questions can be dealt with over the internet. A plane ticket isn't that expensive to the UK!
  7. Cheers! Very nice checklist you sent there! I am planning on getting an VR6! But the way I see it the current Corrado owners are taking well care of their cars already!(Hopefully) I just hope that when the time comes to finally get one. They won't' all be ruined!
  8. Àh alright! Well sure it's nice with a glass roof. But again in my eyes the metal one just fits in more. Especially during the night strolls =) I like having it dark and cosy during the evenings!
  9. You say that I shouldn't get caught up in it. But now I feel that I have to get a Storm! I don't' plan on doing anything with my Corrado when I get it but cleaning and taking care of it! I think the Corrado looks really nice Stock! I think that you should keep the car just as it is, seeing its a tad more 'special' Since I don't own one yet I can't really speak from experience, but isn't the Corrado already quite low? Whats the ground clearance on a stock? Shame on the ones who bought an automatic Corrado!
  10. Looks nice, not quite sure if I would prefer it over the metal one =/
  11. It's a shame when you get rust. But on cars its bound to happen sooner or later! Not much you can do about them that I know but a new paint job. But it's a real shame to waste the original paint! Care to upload a picture of the Sunroof someday? I've only seen the metal one =/
  12. Haha ok! Well hopefully the guy who wasn't on here took good care of it! Looking very good! Is it Bright red pain (So the camera makes it darker) Or is it wine-ish red?
  13. Ah alright! Thanks guys! You never stop learning =)
  14. Looks good! Just clean inside and it's perfect! The gear gaitor(or what you called it) looks american. Can't help but think Corvette-
  15. Looking very nice! I love that color of the Corrado. In my eyes it's how it should look! Whats this 'Storm' thing all of you are chatting about?
  16. Cool! Have you found the member who sold you the car ?
  17. Welcome! 500 quid for a nice car like the Corrado is not bad at all! Where I live it's' impossible to find a Corrado for under 3000 =(
  18. Being quite new to this type of cars and English terms of mechanical issues. Care to explain what this 'Teething problem' is and means?
  19. First of all, HELLO all the sexy peeps who drive Corrado. Just signed upp on this forum, and I plan to stay for a long while! (BTW I love typing and talking, it's part of my job) Now to the fun bit =) I'm planning to buy a Corrado VR 2,9. I never actually seen/heard the car in real life. (Only exists about 150 of them in Sweden) But ever since a night at my friends place we started talking about cars (of course) and he told me he had an Corrado when younger and how much he misses it. I being six to eight years younger (Being born 1990) then him had no clue of what he was talking about. An European car sounding like an American engine? STOCK? This was all new to me. So we ended up on YouTube Looking and listening on some Corrado's, I instantly fell in love with the car. The stylish boxy lines of an older car (I hate new cars with their 'smooth edges and lines' ugh) with sound reminding me of an older American car. So now I'm working my ass off and saving up for a Vw Corrado. Sure I don't own one yet. But being who I am I'd like to do some research and get to know the car (Also kinda short on cash so can't' buy it right now =( Donations are welcome! :bonk:) I've only had older American cars my whole life.Sure I might be young, but dam do I buy cars. American cars are simple when it comes to repairing, replacing parts and finding faults. Every time I open up the hood of and European car I get overloaded with the amounts of Electronics and plastic covers everywhere. It's like a brand new world for me, and because of this I've always stayed with American cars. Why go out of my comfort zone when I know the cars already and can fix almost everything myself. Sure I might not be and trained Mechanic. But being young I do learn very quick and have evolved my own car skills through mistakes and fixing stuff myself. I've always taken good care of my cars. Washing and polishing them at least once a month (I know it's allot, but I love doing it) Tiding the engine bay, polishing every part , I want my cars to feel good and be clean. It makes me an proud car owner. That being said that doesn't' mean I don't have fun with them, getting them dirty and all. After all whats there to clean If you can't make it dirty once in a while. Keep on reading for millions of questions! How is the Corrado to own and work with? Anything special I should keep and eye out for when buying one? Are Original parts hard to come by? (Not just in Sweden, but importing parts from around the world, seeing only about 100 000 was made?)Do they break often? Lay ALL the handy information you have on me! I want to know as much as possible. Any typical Electric problems? etc etc Sorry for the first long post. But I deeply thank you for reading this far
