  1. Not sure yet mate! i am going to lower it even more when i get the rims on, which may cause problems when getting onto the rollers, then again i can always raise it a little the day before, not sure yet.... :) dont really wanna drive all the way up there only to find out its too low.
  2. Its been lowered roughly 60mm on coilovers, thats a rough estimate, never really measured it properly.... 8) And the rims are 17" aswell , although they are being swapped soon for some 16" Porsche wheels....

    Whistling G60!

have a go at totally blocking it of mate, even with the long pipe blocked off it still made the noise on mine, i found the only solution was to fill the brass fitting all the way up with a sealant of some kind as mentioned above. And if you have a pipe as short as it is in the diagram on the thread above then that will also make it whistle like mad, it needs to be a certain length. will post a pic as soon as i am able to.
  4. absolutely stunning car! One of my all time favorites! cant wait to have a proper nose at the rolling road day in april. Just wish i had the patients to do such an example.
  5. Yeah thats where my Girlfriend lives! I spend far too much time cleaning it! managed to get it down to once a week at the moment which i think is acceptable....

    Whistling G60!

there was already a bit of 6" pipe on it?? even with that on it was still making the stupid noise :) although it did have water in it?? which i am guessing was from the water injection or something, which may have an effect. My first thought was to put a small bit of pipe on which i tried and it made it sound like a group a choir boys singing in a church.. so i ended up just blocking the whole thing off, seems to have cured it and seems to be much quieter now....
  7. Ive seen your car a few times now! without really realising it was anyone on hear! Nice car by the way! Was going out for a blast to try and sort out my bloody Water injection! 8) You must be fairly local to me then? i live of lovedean lane, and i think i ve seen you a few times around the horndean area as my girlfriend lives around there to! Small world hey! :)
  8. i absolutely love your car Furks! Stunning example you got there!
  9. The Piper 270 cam i am running seems to be pretty good, you dont loose any of the low down grunt and the power keeps on going all the way to 6000rpm which is plenty really, especially combined with a breathed on cylinder head! i would have gone for a shrick type item darren supplies if i hadnt got my piper jobbie so cheap!
  10. "Vr6 South" where did you see me? was it you coming of the roundabout in horndean?

    Whistling G60!

Not sure whether this has been discussed before, but... Had just about enough of the stupid whistle coming from my Rado G60 today that i bunged up the large vacuum hose going to nothing on the throttle body! (length of hose come from boost return) what a difference! no whistle at all! just supercharger sound and a little whoosh! wish i knew that about a year ago! it was beginning to do my head in! All i did was blocked the flange that attaches the large rubber vacuum hose with sikaflex and hay presto no whistle anymore! is this an ok thing to do?? Dont take any notice of the arrow, the bit i totaly blocked off was the brass fitting at the bottom of the pic, if you get enough sikaflex / silacone inside it will go all the way through and you can wipe any excess from the inside of the throttle body of with your finger!
  12. They look perfect! even better with the flush centre caps!
  13. yeah seen that octavia Rs a few times around that way! they hide in the very concealing places on that stretch of road, not the best place to speed in the dark :) Anyway , good to hear your cars coming along! will be even better when you get the FMIC on!
  14. yes mate, forgot to add my name to pic tho! :)
  15. I tried to join CCGB a while ago, they never got back to me... This Forum is the Heart of the Corrado at the moment as far as i can tell, There is so much knowledge on here and everyone is friendly and willing to help, and best of all its free!! If there was a way the two could join together then go for it but it would need to work well, i dont mind paying a annual fee aslong as i see the money going somewhere, regular update magazines/emails etc etc like other online clubs mentioned above like scoobynet.
  16. the only way to do it mate! :)

  21. Ive been into Vws for quite a while now! The main reason i want a Rado was all of my mates where getting MK2 Golf Gtis, i wanted to be a bit different and went for a corrado, i didnt really know anything about them untill a few years ago when i came across this site ever since then ive always wanted one. Previous cars i have also owned: Age 18 - Vw Golf 1.8GL - Bog standard Age 19 - Vw Golf Mk2 Gti - Loved this car! My bro crashed it after i sold it to him! Now i have my G60 which intend to keep for a good few years yet!
