hmmmmm..... tad bit expensive! think i will go down the yellow tint paint route and see how i get on.
-
Have you done anything to the headlights? they looked slightly smoked??
-
i remember seeing a red one from the VWvortex forums, that had the yellow bits in, that looked sooo nice, havent seen it much tho, think its more of a euro style mod... so would prob suit cars like ours??
-
Yeah definately looks like a cool mod, not sure whether to do the black detail part aswell tho???
-
"bally" with regards to your yellow lights? have you got any more pictures showing the yellow section, i am very temoted to do this mod, it looks sooo cool!
-
yeah saw your link and another one i think on the Club Gti Website, that was enough to convince me i needed to get one!

Thanx for the comments guys! just ordered one of those orbital polishers from the states, which are meant to be the dogs danglies , which should save my arm from aching so much when doing a full polish. Will post up pics & results when i take delivery, looking at a few pics the results are very very good, and doesnt require a huge amount of effort, especially on 15 year old "hard" VW paint. the car is going into G-werks probably at the end of may to have a gearbox / Clutch change, and also a few other little things.... namely a manifold and some inlet porting if it needs it, at the moment both the exhaust manifold and inlet are totally standard and havent been matched to the head yet, so that needs to be done amd should make the system flow more efficiently aswell. :) in terms of external mods i think its probably going to stay pretty much the same for a while apart from a few bits that need respraying but i am not that fussed about that yet as my main priority is the engine work for now...

if you want good torque at low revs your best bet would be to increase the engine size to a 1.9 or 2 Litre, this will give an increase in torque lower down, that matched with a big valve head or a G-werks CNC head will improve torque/power through the range and will inrease air flow, which is good thing in the G60 powered car! That should give you a monster of a car!!

i managed a 15.5@ santapod with my car when it just had the 68mm pulley and SNS chip, 0-60 times would vary but prob be around the 7.5 sec mark due to the need to change up to 3rd gear as the standard g60 box doesnt hit 60 in second.
