Well i thought i might try something different for a while, i ve had the Rxs on for a while now and will keep them in the garage for now as it probably isnt worth selling them yet as i may change my mind in a year or so and get bored of the D90s... 8)

thats sooo cool! you wouldnt think you can get porsches for that money! -
Just ordered a set! Thanx mate! Yeah thats what i thought, just gotta find a decent tyre fitter local to me that isnt gonna moan that they will stretch too much and not fit them to the wheel.
-
thanks jay!! i havent been able to find any side repeaters for ages! hence why i havent changed them yet, the ones i have seen wouldnt really suit, except the ones on yours! i ve got a set of 195/40 16" conti tyres in the garage awaiting fitment shortly... 8) wasnt really sure if the dark graphite effect colour on the rim would suit but i have to say from first impression it looks like it could work really well!

Recieved the porsche wheels today! thanx "too hot" Took a quick pic of what they will look like once it get the tyres fitted, i think they look quite mean!
-
Spent all day yesterday giving her a good polish and wax! My arm is like jelly now... :) Anybody got any ideas on what side repeaters i should go for?? not totally sure yet, quite like the ones on "24vRenshaws" rado havent been able to find anywhere that do em tho, there like a smoked crystal effect similar to my rear lights...
-
thanks for the help guys, hes got a 2Litre 8v bottom end in the garage and has just bought a gasflowed 8v Head to put in it now so doesnt look like a 16v is going to go in, should be pretty quick tho.
-
woz thinking about getting a crash damaged Mk2 16v and swapping everything over??
-
well i will probably be the one doing the conversion... my bro is a bit of a bodger!! he likes using cable ties....lots of them! will check the site out cheers
-
have you got a close up of the stretched rim on yours?
-
Not quite a corrado but my bro has a mk1 1.8 golf gti, the engine has pretty much had it, he wants to put a 16v lump in it, is this a relatively straight forward thing to do?? Any help or links would be very helpful Cheers Mike

Just ordered a set of 195/40 conti tyres from camskill, now gotta sort out the adapters, looks like i will be going with 25mm up front and 30mm on the back, as per darrens (g-man) advice this should give me the aggresive look i am going for. P.S Daz i will email you soon to confirm i want the adapters and sort out payment, Cheers
-
that looks bloody excellent! does he do G60 TBs?
-
rite the next question i ask is what profile tyre i go for?? 45 or 40?? the 40 will give ultra stretch, will this affect the handling at all?? will tyre fitter fit them to my rims?
-
yeh i woz thinking about 30mm spacers all round which should be about enough for now, did you polish them your self? they look really nice!
-
what width adapters did you use mate? have you got any big pics with the wheels on, so i can get an idea of what the car looks like with what size adapters etc.
-
yeah i got the spacers from "OSV" i thought i would get them a bit longer than needed so i could take them into work and rework them to make them smaller if needed. I am also running falken 452s aswell which give a slight stretched type look which should give me more clearance. Will report back when all is fitted!
-
i am only running 8mm spacers at the moment, which i think is just going to be enough to clear the arches enough, i just need to get hold of some longer wheel bolts and i can get tghem fitted on.
-
well we will see.... i am having a few probs with the wheels rubbing on the inner arches at the mo, hence why i have got some spacers now, if i am totally happy with them and i can achieve the ride height i want without so much rubbing, i will keep the RXs on as a daily wheel as i do really like the look they give and maybe keep the porka rims in the garage and use them in the summer or when i feel like a change, in never hurts to have a spare set of porsche rims in the garage.. :)
-
yeah was thinking about gettnig them diamond cut and then laqured, will look into this i think. Although i think i will just leave them as they are for a while until i sell my RXs
-
hey riley, this isnt really relavent but what width wheel adapters do you run on your corrado? just getting myself a set of 90s and need to get hold of a set?
-
i have been looking for a decent set for ages now, i dont usually look on the pvw site, i was looking at the site by pure luck and they popped up! How lucky is that!! Cheers
-
yeah that be them! Didnt even realise he had posted them on this site!
