believe it or not but my car actually failed an mot because i had forgotten to take out my magic tree!!!!

i checked the resevoir this morning turned out to be corroded terminals on the float switch all sorted now! :)

my handbrake "on / off" light doesnt seem to be working properly? when the handbrake is applied the light goes on but when i let of the light doesnt turn off completely its stays at a dim red and occasionally goes out. I have ordered a new handbrake light switch thingy, is there anything else it could be? dodgy earth maybe? not sure whether its a coincidence but my heater controls have just packed up aswell, meaning i only have the most powerful setting left to use, which i have also been told it may be the thermo fuse thats had it , which i have also ordered from maplins... :)

Yeah i think i caught it at the right time aswell just as the sun was going down, it is really difficult to take decent photos unless its positioned perfectly, but these seem ok.

And a rather crap pic of my new momo wheel santa got me for christmas... 8)

Finally got round to fitting my german plates and fitting my new fog lenses supplied by "potatonet" and giving the car a bit of a wash....reckon :lol:

woody, how did you come into contact with west tuning, do they have experience tuning G60s?

To be honest you wouldnt really benefit much with a cam without a P&P Head or even better a big valve head..... As for exhaust system give darren (g-man) a shout at G-werks they now make their own exhaust which i have been told are very good! His contact details are on the supplier section in the forum. You may also want to change you intercooler for a larger golf g60 item, very worthwhile mod! You may also want to have a chat with him regarding any other questions, he knows his stuff!!

the car was supposed to come into your workshop on December the 6th to have red tops, charger rebuild, 65mm toothed pulley and a custom remap... i dont mind fitting the toothed pulley myself and the red tops although i cant do the rebuild and the custom remap myself.. 8)

Darren could you also get in touch with regards to the work iam geting done to my car aswell, got an email just before christmas from one of your guys saying that he thought the toothed pulleys where in now :-P Cheers

Cam and big valve head.

I have got my Piper 270 cam in now, and its been in for about 500 miles now, just wondering how lumpy the idle should be with a cam like this, i have noticed when warm that it tends to idle a little rough... like its miss firing ever so slightly etc etc, it runs almost perfectly apart from that. the car hasnt been properly setup by darren and G-werks yet, so i should think this might help it a little? eveything is lined up and the timing set correctly. Maybe i am just being a little to paranoid 8)

gotta be Renshaws 24v v6 Rado, Especially as a poster of his car is now stuck to my wall! Hmmmm.... 8)

managed to mount my kit that i got from gibber nicely in the boot! will post up a few pics, i managed to mount in on the inner wing just behind the light cluster with a bit of work you wouldnt know its there... :) just waiting for some new jets to come and it will be finished, i think for the £200 odd i spent it was a very good piece of kit for the money... thanks gibber!

the bays looks sweet! thats just the sort of bay i am looking to achieve!, Did you use paint to make it metal bits look so clean? ( rocker cover etc etc) Got any quick tips on what you did to get you bay like that?? Whats your spec by the way? remember seeing it in PVW a while back, maybe on the group thrash, cant remember...

i have seen those rims on a newish merc, they do look very nice, although i dont think they had the fake split rim effect on as the ones shown on the this thread, they where a one piece look which i reckon may look better?? if i can find the pic i will post it up.

Nah mate, the 65mm toothed pulley kits arent in yet... :( so the car wont go in untill they get delivered to G-werks, darren has said he will try and fit me in as soon as the kits come.. but wasnt sure when this would be as the people who are making them apparently had already sent them last week?? Still, better to wait and get exactly what i want. :)

Will have to have a word with him then... i like the word "uprated", especially when the G60 engine is involved... :) Cheers for that!

ahhh i think i want the bits that go inside them , the actual bearing halves? the bits that go between the big end and the bearing cap??

Does anybody know where i can get a set of big end bearing caps / Liners for my g60 engine, i am thinking of changing my ones soon just as a precaution.... 8) Cheers
