Those who have ddi will kno its a right pain in the arse to see the dial needles at night i got bored so decided to modify mine to allow me to see my needles. I did consider using needles from a mk4 golf as these are clear and can be light with an led. However it just seemed like to much work so heres what i did..... took the guages apart and "modified" the casing other half masked the needles up and sprayed them flourescent orange (colour sounds bad but it actually looks pretty good) bought a 12 volt uv black light off ebay and stripped it so i had just the bulb and wiring.Heres the bulb This was a very good fit in the casing and didnt require glue to hold the bulb in Heres the finished article (my ddi rev face is a bit dimmer than the rest, dont know why - bought it secondhand but i think i can get a replacement) The result i think is amazing. You cant see any light from the black light so the needles just appear to be glowing. I can now see what speed im going at night! let me know what you think

right i have checked everything! felt fuel related, i went back in the tank to have a nose around. took the pump right out this time and guess what i found? a kinked fuel supply hose. the thing was so damn long also so its been trimmed down and my car now runs! as i said before the pump looked new so must of been changed at some point but the hoses were extremely long. I think i in love with my car again

the top parts of the grill arent clips just tabs (well mine was) also the ends that go over the headlights wont sit flat hence the need for the glue.Itis a lot of hassle but worth it i reckon

yea they break so easy,i reinforced mine at the back with metal. Tiger seal will work also
-
with mine i screwed the top tabs on the brow part to the slam panel then i used a couple of blobs of the sikaflex on each end and bonded it to the top of the headlights (only a tiny amount though)

looks a bit silly in my opinion unless your going for the new tractor look
-
pretty sure the white goes on coil - black to coil + gearbox sensors as explained above. earth strap on mine goes off the top of the throttle body to the coil bracket

mate if you look up a bit in this forum you will find a topic on this viewtopic.php?f=1&t=67859

did you have to modify you dump valve with a softer spring then?
-
shizzle that is a very clean bay! that a dump valve i can see? how does that sound?

hi mate , the dash has two threaded ends that go through the bulkhead. On the other side nuts are screwed on to keep it tight. Its a bit fiddly to get to but if you look at the scuttle panel ( its in three pieces) look at the joins.if you put your hand directly below and reach back you should be able to feel the threaded part of the dash sticking out. Also check the two bolts either side of the dash are tight and the cheeky one hidden behind the centre console

ecu relay maybe? cheap and easy to change. id deffinatly have a look at the ignition switch too! Car lloks mint by the way
-
im glad your getting there with this, on mine i was controlling the coil direct with no module. Looking at all this makes me miss mine. Think i might bring it back from the dead seeing as i have a daily ( all be it broken) g60
-
been reading up on it bit and some cars have a pressure tap where a fuel pressure gauge can be connected. does a g60 have this? or do i need to just tee one inline with the fuel line
-
how do i go about doing one? anybody know where i can get a guage to test it?
-
dont waste your time buddy, the only differnce it will make is making your engine bay look poop and leaving your pocket lighter. If these actually worked everyone would be going on about them
-
yea, before it was plumbed into the boost return pipework along with the oil breather on the cam cover
-
pic as requested cheers for the reply rado mc will check it over again when i get the time
