what kind of play? i tried to tug on the driveshaft itself and there was the tiniest bit of movement.
-
its not really a clunk sound more like a clattering.i have some spare 16v driveshafts, might swap them onto it and see if theres a difference. If its not that id rather it be a clutch than a gearbox. Theres no way of checking without taking the box off though :(

yea ha ha. Thank you for all the helpful replies

driving home from work yesterday and i noticed a clattering noise, thought nothing of it but i pulled over to check if anything had been caught up in the wheels but nothing. It makes a really strange clattering noise in first gear, if i put my foot down on the clutch its still there. once i go into second its quiet again. ive also noticed that if ive decelerated say from 30 to a standstill and i go into first you can kind of hear a crunching and you can feel it in the gearknob too (only happens for a second or two) As if i tried to go into gear with no clutch. Today i just got back and was reversing up to the house and it felt like it was juddering. Sorry for such a long post hope somebody can help. (really wished i thought twice before buying another corrado!)

ive just bought a set of dials off a forum member (ddi ones) And they have the dial rings fitted. You can see where some of the superglue has seeped through and marked the black plastic. My question is how do you remove the clear plastic on the front of the gauges to get to this? looks quite secure and i dont want to break it

looks very good, are you keeping those headlights up front or going back to standard?
-
that looks very nice, i think the wheels really suit it
-
yea i see what you mean, when i held it up in the car its just about readable.i can see the boost gauge clearly which is the one ill be looking at the most

do you have the original charger silencer outlet? when my charger was knackered (leaking oil)it would force oil out of the silencer box.

during the week i got bored, had a spare glovebox front knocking about and 3 matching gauges sat doing nothing. Heres what i did was a bit fiddly but i got there in the end - tried to get all three gauges more central in the panel but the lock mechanism gets in the way so they are sat further down to clear it. Im going to wire up in the week sometime. hope you like....

is it really worth having new bits welded onto the charger? its going to cost more to do and will never be like new. You dont want a charger that could blow up any minute. Id just save for one in better condition, no point trying to take short cuts you will regret it

looks much better lowered. Before it looked like the wheels were too small because of the arch gap but now its spot on. Whats the ride like with it that low? -
what paint is that? looks like a blue seen on some of the new minis, its stunning

just had a look at your gallery! wow - worth every penny. did you sell that rear bumper in the end? i kinda like it

thanks for all the fast replies  :D lol. managed to sort it, woke up at 6 this morning to have a look.Firstly my isv connector had come off so i put that back on.drove fine for 5 mins then it was misfiring again! got to work and had a proper look - turns out that the vacuum line to the ecu had come off at the throttle body. The little screw clamp to hold it on doesnt go very tight though (probably why it came off). Does anyone know where i can get a replacment?halfords didnt have one small enough. i tell you what, if you look in your rear view and see a cyclist jump out of his skin because he sees a flame come inches from his feet, check your ecu to throttle body vacuum line ( it was over fuelling like a mofo)

oh and it smelt rich when it was miss firing

jus had a nice game of footie after work, after i went off in the rado, got half way through my journey i remember changing from second up to third about 3500 rpm heard a little pop sound, nothing major (i thought it was my front engine mount as this is worn) clearly it wasnt. as i came to a stop at traffic lights the car was idling at about 700rpm (its usually a 1000rpm give or take 100) you could hear it misfiring. Pick up was a tiny bit sluggish but once you got moving it was ok. Stopped at the next junction and it idled ok for about 2 seconds then dipped back down to 700. Anyone have any ideas what could be causing this? popped the bonnet when i got in, everything seemed to be in order other than the filter i have on the rocker cover, it had kinda popped off and a little bit of oil got out. im stumped! help!!!

jus wondering how much you paid, if it was windows out, colour change? and who did the work lol sorry for the many questions just want a rough idea as ive got some plans. pics would be great too. cheers guys

looks very nice! spill the beans then, how did you do it? is it just that section you did or the whole door? how did you stick it down?

is there anyway a tank sender from a different car can be used in a corrado? im convinced mine is knackered. I know the corrado never gives a really accurate indication of petrol in the tank. Just a thought lol

cheers guys, i wanna continue tidying up the bay. Then when funds allow i want to get a chip, pulley and fmic. ive got an rs bumper here (i know a lot of people dislike them) but it will be perfect for a fmic. Jobs for today are to sort out my dodgy fuel gauge (sometimes it jus randomly drops to empty - any ideas?) and the the other thing ive been dreading is the off side front wheel bearing!

not really got a lot to do but i do have to drive around like a fanny whilst my charger is run in! BORING
