Today i finally got around to fitting my coilovers. Shes not 100% there yet but looking a bit better than when i got her just under a month ago, list of bits ive done so far is- Fit new badgeless grill as original one was faded and flapping about as the clips had gone and fit a vr6 badge off of a mk3 golf (a bit bigger than the corrado one). New gearbox mount. Jetex induction kit. New mats. Fix the leaky drivers door as previous owner decided to remover the membrane (clever chap). New water pump. New disks and pads on the back. Fit the new coilovers and mounts front and back. Give it a single stage machine polish with menzerna sf4500, came up a treat. And fix the annoying squaky front brakes. Thats all so far, but still got a few bits to do over winter to keep me out of trouble. The pics. Before. New grill. Polishing. Coilovers.

As I cannot find a drivers side fog that I don't need to sell a kidney to buy I was wondering if the early fogs glass and reflector would fit into the late fog housing as a repair job as there seem to be quite a few early fogs available? Any advice greatly welcomed as this fog light search is driving me insane :bonk:

It would be over winter really and i will be fitting the coilovers before i have the wheels i will be fitting, should get the wheels early next year. But not really that expencive to get tracking sorted i suppose

Would I need geo doing every time I changed the ride height?

Are the coilovers easy to fit on the vr6? I did a set on my mk4 golf and on my mrs old lupo 16v and they were easy enough to do and ive just done a set on a lupo gti today for a mate. Do i have to worry about camber issues with th vr6 at all or will it be a straight swap as in old orignal units off and shiney new coilovers on?
-
That was my thought exactly! There is one for £99 but still seems a bit steep, and I'm a right tight git. Lol

Just found an ad on ebay for a corrado breakers in derby that states they have all corrado parts including fogs I'll give them a buzz tomorrow.

Oooo thanks jim I'll take a look at that. :thumbleft:

Think I may have to bite the bullet and buy one off ebay for silly money :bonk:

The whole unit mate, the one that's on has been leaking water in (previous owner tried to bodge repair it) and the reflector has rusted and stained the inside of the glass, the glass perfect which is annoying. Lol

I've recently brought the halfords all weather cover and it is excellent, totally weatherproof and the medium one fits the c like a glove.

Does anyone know if you can still get hold of a set of clear/crystal fogs and indicators? Its driving me mad trying to find just a drivers side fog light, theres a couple on ebay but at around £100 but im a bit reluctant to spend that if i dont have to. Lol. [emoji15]

Yes mate boughton drive, been here for about five years now we moved off the top estate from lavender road.

Lol no its not all original the roof is the only original paint think most or all the rest of it has been resprayed at some point, it was abit of a task machine polishing it tho in a few places it could do with a bit of wetsanding then polishing back but ill sort that out eventually.

Seen that mk3 around quite a bit usually parked up at the top of crays hill, looks sooooo nice and such an unusual colour for a mk3. -

Thanks :thumbleft: forgot to say it will be on coilovers as well but unsure how low it will be until I get it back from the garage.

Hi can someone please tell me if a set of Lenso bsx 16x7.5 et25 with 195/45/16 will fit my vr6 without any arch work? Thanks.
