Lol No But boot fits my golf clubs  Thanks Andy! It was the worse day of my C ownership however troublesome it was. The fact I get to blast her at least THREE times a week on a quiet no-camera bypass is just heaven! :) But also relieved now it's gone and to someone who s going to restore her :) Still want a VR6 (but with 4wd :)) Thanks Jim - that means a lot :thumbleft: I still have my upgraded parts (wink)(wink) CDA, headlight upgrade loom, nearly got a working directional heater panel, short shifter (but someone needed it locally recently so sold that), still looking for a Passat moonroof! and I ain't selling any of the parts as its a permanent fixture of me now :) Still got the flipping Octavia sunroof (seller sent me a facelift one rather than the pre-facelift) STILL arguing with him on payment! Else I would have a working sunroof on the C when I sold her :( Update: fuel flap The vinyl wrap never arrived (again debating with eBay seller) So quickly clay, polish, DoDo Juice wax and its smooth as silk - shame if looked spotty though :( Will missed the C hugely as well as this forum as I need to concentrate on spamming the Rover forum - er I mean participate in the Rover forum  But I will still be about :thumbleft: Cheers

Lol To be fair - I had the same concerns and nearly backed out a few times buying a Rover. But many online owners mostly have good things to say about the Rovers (esp the ones designed by BMW). And the people on the Rover forum as just as helpful as those on the C forum :thumbleft: For the money u can buy, I think it's a lot of car for it. And so far - touch wood - its not broken down yet
-
Lol Course they do - they already teaching me to use the OBD readings already :thumbleft:
-
Lol No - lol Thanks :) Cheers bud! Yes - I will be back (Terminator)! PS: Never knew about this multi-quote thingy. Just picked it up from the Rover forum! :;

Good night, Good luck, Good bye for now on the forum, kind folks!:wave::wave: :(:(:(

It's OK - I can take it :)

Selfie??? Don't think a selfie stick extends that long
-
Well As I will be lying low now and will missed this forum hugely :( A massive thanks and respect for everyone single forum member here and the forum itself - its agreat community of like-minded and hugely friendly group of people here whom helped me hugely along the way. I will be around - but not as much... Hopefully back in 3-5years time! Anyone got a Passat moon roof , let me know!

As I am C-less now I will be going thru a patch of C withdrawal symptoms - will stick a patch of nicotine (with a Corrado PIC on it) each day on both my arms. The weekly 3 times a blast on the bypass will be hugely missed by myself and my youngest. Joys of driving and huge respect and almost daily compliments from other drivers / passer bys will never be the same again. Other night 2 17 year olds started a conversation and always wanted one! Amazement from me as they are so young - and they do not look like yobs to me! Was showing buyer the C last night, and 2 passerby's commented "really nice car u got there!" Taking the PIC of both cars on the mai road - got a shout of a passing car "nice cars!" Well Sad day for me, but its done - been a roller coaster ride for me too Mostly all good, but plenty of not goods too!
-
I know! But done thorough research this time AND the purchase was completed with a MG forum member s blessing this time :thumbleft:
-
Thanks Mark! Buyer s reply when he got home after 250miles or so... " Just got in. Had a short stop on way down. Car was a dream to drive. More fun the daily drive (C63) and that's a lot of fun. Thanks for everything. Will keep you posted with her development. A pleasure doing business with you " Sound guy Bought the C as a project to restore to OEM. Winter deadline is full body ReSpray to its former Candy White glory

Sad day..... :( C s gone tonight 8pm :( :( :( And new TROPHY BLUE car...
-
Thanks - But I think u do not know my "Wayne's unlucky and disastrous" reputation! I think I pass - and stick with the vinyl. As discussed before, even trying to match the paint will be difficult as paint has weathered over the 20 years also compared with a new fresh spray of white candy paint... But thanks for your advice
-
U don't know my new neighbours round here! Just been told off for parking in one neighbour s spot - let alone trying to do something that looked dodgy from outside in a box?!!!
-
Not your fault, Andy! There is nothing bad underneath the sticker, just some paint come off - so nothing major! Relax :)
-
Was what I planned before I moved. But I have no outside space at all now (live in a flat).
-
Right Did a little think, Think I can live with the following ... 1. Use Tardis or glue-removal to remove any sticky glue residue - if not try a wet/dry sanding off 2. Polish, clay then sealant (will protect bare metal spot bits) 3. Carbon wrap the flap in white (waterproofs it so no rust and will look good too ) Good? :thumbleft:
-
Did think about removing the flap And rub/sand at home inside a cardboard box then respray .. With no outside space - its still not good with all that paint smell inside house  :shocked!:
-
Hmmmm I always like to do it proper or not at all (That is a respray of flap if I could). In this case might have to buy a white vinyl ... I hate doing things by 1/2 or cheap fixes :( :( :(
-
Just checked weather forecast... Its going to pee down tomorrow  Ok I got a rusty fuel flap by Monday then :(
-
Well Didnt want to remove fuel flap DUB sticker until I was ready to polish and re-spray in last house. Now that I have moved house, no chance :( Still, As Andy (Hairyarse) said, better to remove Lets see whats underneath the sticker  ...
