Cheers bud But we do know i am Wayne "the UNLUCKY one"! :eek: I dont think i can survive another big bill :( Just moved house - spent a fortune on white appliances, and an annual insurance bill of £1000 is not good for the books! :eek: Sell, I MUST now :( Re-couping the almost £6000 I put in will need a miracle!!!

Update from garage: I had to apply for a THIRD mortgage :( 1. 5 corroded brake pipes + brake fluid change: £270 2. New clutch: £220 3. MOT: Might as well get this done so sell easier? :shrug: :eek: :shock!: :( :( :(

Cool :thumbleft: I got a litre of it from VW - enough? Also, what about: 1. Bleed master 2. Bleed slave 3. Bleed clutch 4. Bleed ABS pump?

Just digged out original £1000 work ... So replaced slave cylinder + bleed clutch not replaced the brake fluid then??? :shrug: So what would I need to say to garage in order to replace brake fluid? As do not want to make same mistake twice! :( :bonk:

U absolutely right bud! I asked garage (with £1000 bill) to change everything (brake fluid including bleeding master, slave and ABS pump). But when at Chris s (vag-hag s) we discovered it wasnt replaced - or some of it wasnt - i am unclear myself ....

After changing to 1st, clutch is cemented to floor and would come up. A few times managed to move it back up with foot or stopped and forced up with both hands. But eventually it wouldnt budge and just got stuck in 1st ...until it stalls when coming to a stop ...

Was told priority and within the hour. Maybe coz Sunday less patrols? Anyway - car in garage waiting in queue now ... Not sure when they can look at it and when it can be fixed now :(

Cheers, bud It was a 2hr wait for RAC - freezing as 10pm and we were all in t-shirts after cleaning old house all day! Suspect: either master , slave or clutch fork? All fluids are full No leaks ...
