  8. Yeah, always start any car with the clutch down...A habit i got into with the 2 sciroccos i owned previously  Haven`t checked with the volt meter yet...gave up to be honest for the day... :brickwall: Will check tomorrow, also might rig up a wire to start it from the engine bay to elimate the ignition switch and see what happens....
  9. Well decided to go to another place and get another starter at a cost of £123 just because i`ve had enough of pushing the car to get it to start... Got it this morning fitted it this afternoon, changed the main power cable from the battery to the starter aswell because the old one looked very ropey!! and guess what...click click cilck the bloody thing still would not start, rocked the car back and forth in gear and hey presto the fracking thing started :censored: Am at a complete loss of what to do next  any ideas????
  10. Hi All Been a while since i been on here but the C playing up again :-( Did a search but just really wanted to check that i came to the right conclusion as to the problem... Right first of all, had to get a new starter motor around august time last year because the starter on there fell to pieces :censored: Ended up getting one from GSF, which worked fine for about 2 weeks then i started getting just a clicking noise when trying to start the car. This has been going ever since at very random times, when the car was cold or hot but because i was out of work i really didn`t bother too much about it. Now its getting worse and worse, doing the clicking thing more and more i decided i better do something about it. Took the starter off tuesday, cleaned the solenoid put it back together and guess what? worked fine for 2days then click click click..... :epicfail: The only way to get it to turn over is to put it in 2nd gear with handbrake off and rock it back & fore...then it will turn over & start by itself, so i don`t think its a voltage issue... do you think replacing the starter will get rid of this problem because i can`t think what else to try  Cheers Ian
  11. Yeah, Do you think they would let me have a hi-res image if i ask? In a nice frame would be nice too
  12. Yeah, Its £60 fine plus 3points and now the govenment want you to pay a £15 victim support surcharge :( because they spend all the money for victims support doing up there house`s :epicfail:
  13. Hi, I got my first speeding letter today..... Doing 36 in a 30mph zone, I feel so ashamed of myself. naughtyboy.jpg[/attachment:zytm69f0]
  14. Yeah looks just like goosebumps, really rough surface to the clear coat, could be moisture in there, there are some nasty water marks in the paint which wasn`t there before :( I will give the sanding down a try but does look like a complete repsray is in order :censored:
  15. Hi All Not sure what section to post this in but here the problem.... Painted a Rieger rear window cover up at the end of last year using paints4U.com basecoat aerosol can and Clear #1 UV Resistant Clear Coat Aerosol, this was done in September last year and left on a shelf in my room until May time this year when i got around to fitting it. Now the problem is that it has only been on the car for a month and a half and something has caused a really bad reaction in the paint :( The clear coat was fine when i fitted it and as i said had plenty of time to dry/harden before i fitted it so does anyone know what could cause this time of reaction? Tried using T-cut & even G3 cutting compond but the clear coat is ruined :( Looks like am going to have and remove it and completly respray it :epicfail: RuinedCover.jpg[/attachment:tqhtm9qe]
  16. Ah, Right better order myself some 6mm fuel pipe then Cheers, Ian
  17. Hi All, Got a nasty petrol smell when driving the car, I recently changed the fuel pipe from the fuel rail to the fuel pressure switch with a braided 8mm fuel line but doing a search on here i`ve read it should be 6mm but am not 100% sure. Want to replace that pipe and the fuel inlet pipe to the FPR and the return but of course EKTA doesn`t state what the ID are and as VW Stealers are unbeleivably pricey for pipes i want to avoid them so does someone know the internal diameters of these pipes? Cheers, Ian
  18. Meant to ask yesterday but saw a very nice looking black Corrado coming from salisbury towards Combe Bissett yesterday afternoon anyone on here? If so, wouldn`t mind a closer look next time i see you :)
  19. I`ve had loads of "nice scirocco" and even a "nice golf" Best one was, waiting in a VW Dealers for the parts i`d ordered, when a sales rep comes up and says "Is that your Scirocco parked outside?" when i said "if by Scirocco, you mean Corrado then YES it is!" :censored: He then asked if he could have the keys because it was blocking a customer car, which normally i would of said "NOT A CHANCE" but feeling evil  i said yeah here you go, when i went out 5mins later he was still trying to figure out now to start it :epicfail:
  20. Took off the coil, cleaned it up then sprayed the bracket Satin Black also painted the old washer tank the same just really to see what it looked like and am kinda surprised that it looks quite good 8) What do you think? Enginebay.jpg[/attachment:15wbfmm1]

  22. Ah crap! What are my parents gonna say :cuckoo: There gonna be so ashamed of me pulling up outside the house
  23. Hi All, Just a quick-ish one, I recently sold joe_60 my old ISV from my 92 G60 which i tested on my car before i sold it to him and it worked fine, but now he is saying that when it plug it in to his car, the car cuts out and wont idle at all Is there more than one ISV for a G60, cus i could only find the one listed on EKTA. He said his original ISV on his works but the idle hunts Any ideas on whats going on there? I said for him to return it and if it doesn`t work i would refund him...But if it worked on my car before then why doesn`t it work on his!!! Ian
