Thats right. They are easy enough to fit although you do need to drill the bonnet, if you want to know where I can get pics and show you. However the disappointing thing is that due to the weight of the bonnet you need to lift the bonnet all the way up and then it keeps it up.

OMG!!!! I Giggled ALL the way home!!! Unfortunatly due to not being able to get the car on boost, I have never been able to test the Aquamist Meth Inj System and for some reason the pump wasn't working! So it had to be mapped without the Methanol Injection! So we didn't achieve quite as high a figure as we hoped................................. However.................................... Wayne at Chipwizards mapped it for the torque as opposed to the high bhp. We achieved: 245bhp But the Torque figure is IMMENSE! 246lbft of Torque. All I can say is :shock: :shock: :shock: :shock: :shock: The car is like a ROCKET!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It just takes off all the way through the Rev range and just KEEPS pulling. On the way home I took it on a "private road" and I lost my bottle at 125 as I was still accelarating hard and cars in front were rapidly getting closer. And the delivery is sooooooooooo smooth. But it is a MONSTER!!! I can't get over the sheer accelaration difference. ...............................And the Methanol Inj is yet to be brought into the equasion

Well 2nd Night Done! - Thats 700 Miles done now!!! Only one more night to go and then its mapping or me! Car seems to be really loosening up now!

I've just bought 1 Front wheel bearing and 2 rears. Got them all from GSF and can't remeber the make but they are made by the people that make them for VW..................... Hate to say it fella but they were a fraction of that price!

But you've got early shape wings so it won't line up properly with the line of the wings?? :scratch: :scratch: :scratch: :scratch: Put the early bonnet back on it gives the car a much more aggressive look at the front end!!! :donsflakjacketsmilie:

A 2d system is about £500 IIRC plus I got the in dash display which is another £150

You definatly CAN'T use a washer pump for water injection. And no it's not really that hard to hydrolock an engine. Can't really offer much more advise than really recommend that if your going to do it, use a proper setup to be on the safe side. Is your engine worth risking????

Oooooooooooooooooooooo I'd be really careful with this!!! What pump have you got and exactly how powerful is powerful. It's a little more complicated than this i think really! I've got the Aquamist 2d system and personally with something like this I would only ever get a tried and tested system as get it wrong and you risk Hydrolocking the engine! In order to pump the water through the jet to create the fine mist required the aquamist pump runs at 300cc/min @ 6bar

Well got in about 1am last night after taking a drive from Brum, up the M6 - stopped at Stoke to pick up 25ltrs of Methanol and 25ltrs of Demineralised water from Chris. Then carried on up to Manchester, onto the M62 and across the Pennines to Leeds then down the M1 home!!! That totals up to 420 miles so far. Tomorrow night I'm off to London and back!!! Still got work in the day which is a bummer but one more night after that and I'm then off to Chipwizards!! Just a bugger that I got home went to open the bonnet just to check it over and the bloody bonnet release cable snapped!!! Anyone know where I can get a new one that will be in stock???????????

The wheels aren't on!!! Gutted - One has been dropped - is bein replaced but will not be on for E38!! I am going, will be there about tea time!!!

MOT PASSED :cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers: Before it failed on emissions on 2 areas - Hydrocarbons was 6139!!!:shock: - Turns out that was the Vac pipe from the ECU to the TB hadn't been put on!!! That now reads 111 HC CO Reading was 10.6% - Found that sue to a Lambda Sensor not working!!!!!! Replaced and now reads 0.4% Hows that for an environmentally friendly car. And it's decatted!!!!

where did you mount yours? And how did you mount the sensor in the airflow - pics would be good as I have to do mine!

SWG have already approached me on doing a Group buy on these and it will be going ahead in the next week or two!!!! Just want to get in all the payment on the other first!!! WATCH THIS SPACE!!!!!

If the alternator isn't charging then once the power from the battery runs out the car will slowly start to die, all the lights will go dim, then the guages will stop working then finally the engine will run very badly for a minute or two until it dies completly. It isn't a great idea to run the car just on battery power as it wont do your battery much good. It definatly sounds like it's your alternator but put a multimeter across it and see how much voltage it's putting out. Should be around 14v, anything lower than that and it isn't working!

Its a 91. But believe me it was running FARRRRRR to rich!

FAILED MOT! :sad: Was told everything was spot on - bar the emissions. Was running too rich so need to try and lean ot off for the MOT and then richen it back up again after to run it in on! Gutted! Talk about cutting it fine, retest on friday afternoon!

Why have them made when they are readily available off the shelf???
