Valve thing? - better description than black valve thing might help?
  2. Oops missed that one - slapped wrists then. So this is for all the car valeters out there to post about what cars they cleaned today then! I'll take pics of the Company Car and post them up in there after I've stuck it through the car wash!!!!
  3. But I just wanted to get on the bandwagon!!!
  4. Managed to get a beer when I was done - just before having to spend 3 hours cooking a Sunday Roast for the Missus as she'd been at work all day!
  5. Well got absolutely loads of work done on the car this weekend!!!!! Worked mega hard!! List of Jobs done: Rolled rear arches! Fitted Trimsport Rear Strutbrace finally! Undersealed under rear arches including where I have rolled them. Re-undersealed all the jacking points where its been up and down so much it had all started to come away Replaced passenger window mechanism and motor as cable had snapped in mine. Removed Amp Rack to make way for strut brace and moved amp to rear of back seat! Sorted Rear offside lights being dimmer than nearside. Changed a few of the exhaust hangers that were fubared. Finally fixed loose exhaust heatshield INSTALLED INTERCOOLER WATER SPRAY IN FRONT BUMPER USING SUBARU STI SPRAY NOZZLES Now I'm absolutely knackered!!! Still got to investigate Aquamist not working Install Charge Air Temp Guage Finish Ali Alternator and Cam Belt Cover Remove intercooler, cut off inlet header remake with inlet pointing up Reinstall and remake all the pipework out of mandrel bent ali pipes. Move Oil Cooler Clean it inside and out!!!!! Plus Loads more I cant remember.
  6. I dunno! Think it would be different
  7. It says nothing in the actual thread about the seal that you are after!!!!! Remember most people just look on latest posts and don't get to see the subtitles where I presume you mention the seal!!!!! To me it says "Fuel Pressure Regulator - Where can I get one for a 91 G60??"
  8. I've got Autometer Cobalts on mine but they are mega bucks in the UK - About £100-£150 each!!! Will post pics later!
  9. I have one spare!!! Cost you less than new and is perfect working order! £25 inc Next Day Delivery??
  10. I never even realised that they were in the Car Audio market. I have Kef Speakers in my home setup using a combination of Q7's at the Front, Q5 i think in the centre and Kef Eggs on the rear. Absolutely AWESOME speakers. If thats anything to measure the car speakers by I'd love to hear them!
  11. An air gun is always the easiest. I would also suggest going to Halfrauds or your local motor factor and spending £15 on a Gear Puller. Otherwise teh Alternator and charger pulley can be wedged on quite tight and wedging in a scredriver or similar to lever them off can do more damage than good!!!

    Door Lock Pins

I think this part highlighted would be what you are after!
  13. I use a Genesis Profile 4 Ultra. They arent cheap but are fantastic. I use it to run my Focal components in the front of mine and an Infinity Perfect 12 in the back bridged on the amp. It's also a nice compact'ish and stylish looking amp.
  14. I have a 1 week old perfect condition 90A Hella Alternator for sale for £80 + Delivery if you interested!!!
  15. It's not really a flash car I'm after - but a decent one. Not solely to impress clients in, but one that I can enjoy spending 8 hours and more a day getting in and out of. Looked at a fabulous E-Class 55 Reg Merc that I could put on PCP well in my budget and that is a lovely car.
  16. Because to get a bottom spec Jetta I have to put in an initial payment of £600!!!!! And it isn't a FREE car, I get taxed about £3500 a year extra for it!!!! And it's not to get to work in, it's to drive around in all day to see my clients. In my job image says alot and what you drive also has an impact with clients believe it or not. I spend alot of time with Directors and Managing Partners of some VERY large companies, law firms, national and multinational companies that spend well into 6 figures with me sometimes. If i turned up to meet them or took them out in a clio i don't think they would be overly impressed. I know it sounds snobbish but image it alot in the medium to large value sale industry!
  17. Think the more I think about it I will hold on to it for now. I can't make such a decision too quickly! I'll see if I can get a decent car out of pool stock that still has a year or so left on it so I can get the car how I want it then take much more time over the decision. As I said - I REALLY dont want to sell it. It's too much fun to sell it! Well - It's Arch rolling time at the weekend. Managed to borrow an Arch Rolling Tool (Thanks Steve!!!! :salute: :salute: ) Didn't really want to cut them off, so will be using my mates garage unit and Space heater to warm up the arches and paint as I really could do without it cracking to get it right!!!! Then its an investigation into the Water/Methanol Pump to see why it's not working.
  18. I'm far from Bored with it annd I'll be gutted to see it go. But the way my company car scheme now sits (I've been headhunted back to work for Canon!) the best car I can get is a VW Jetta bottom spec or a Ford Fucus Titanium. They've done it deliberatly to get people to opt out. So question is do I take a Fucus. Opt out sell up and buy a few year old C class or CLK, or go PCP on a new/almost new car. I'm not definatly selling. Just got to consider my options. Thats all for now.
  19. If I do sell it will be alot, I have a price in mind but I'm not telling it until I have finally decided or someone is SERIOUSLY interested. This is a one off engine that certainly racepower refuse to build one again due to the time and difficulties involved. Bearing in mind the power figures are not taking into account the Auquamist Water/Methanol injection that is on but not set up yet!
  20. I can't believe this, but I seem to be following the current trend and am considering selling. I'm only considering it at the moment due to the fact that I am also considering opting out of the company car scheme and buying my own to use for work. If I do do that then I don't really want to private lease a vehicle so can't justify buying a new car and keeping the corrado especially when we are also in the process of buying a house. Now due to the money I have sunk into this I could break it and get ALOT more than what I could sell it for but I wouldn't want to see 3 years work go to waste!!! So rather let someone else enjoy it. But I would still wnat ALOT of money for it. So the other question is would it actually sell. Just a consideration for now. Thinking of going down the nearly new Mercedes CLK 2.0 Kompressor route.
  21. I would never accept a cheque as payment UNLESS it clears first. With Cash and Bankers Drafts I always say that I would rather the person accompanies me to the bank so I can pay the money of either type in that way the bank has taken the risk away. Seen a few people been stitched by accepting a bankers draft or cash only to be told when got to the bank to pay it in to be told it was a forgery!! But the party in question was gone with the car!!!!! I know you appear to be awkward - but better to seem a little awkward than lose all that money and your car!!!! Most people although may think it is a pain will accept it and do it if they want the car. If they don't - then you more than likely don't want to be dealing with them!!!!

    Alternator

I presume talking about a spring tensioner you must have a G60! The thick power cable is to the starter motor, there is one other connection which is a thin wire which is the ignition light that connects to a single pin connector plug near the starter motor (blue wire, big black plug on the end that then disappears into the wiring loom. The spring tensioner attached to the alternator/bracket via a bolt with 2 threads on it one either side of a hex head. Pic from EKTA Attached - the part highlighted is what you need and if you havent got one then the part number is opposite!!
  23. Check the Knowledge base for a complete buyers guide. I'd also want them to put a full MOT on it as you've only got a month left on it!!! Other than that providing all is OK then it seems like a good price.
  24. Check out the knowledge base. I don't think any colours were specific to G60's I thought they were available in any of the corrado colours.
  25. I use Goodyear Eagle F1's and the grip is fantastic.
