Right Here goes the official West Midlands Police Motorway Divisions answer (it's funny as this is what I originally wrote, then deleted as I checked a site on the web which is what I quoted earlier.) You are only allowed to tow a vehicle on the motorway to recover it off the motorway at the first available junction and only when safe to do so. It is an offence to tow another vehicle further than the first available exit junction. It is and offence to enter onto a motorway whilst towing a vehicle This applies for any type of towing devices including fixed bar towing. Thanks to the friendly Motorway Police for the info and apologies for my misquote earlier. (The Internet a huge resource of sometimes utterly useless information!!!!!) :D

Towing another car on the motorway is not illegal providing your license permits so check the codes on your license. If you have recently passed your test you may not be allowed so check carefully. Rules for towing on motorway: 60MPH Speed Limit The car must be towed using suitable equipment ie. A proper and good condition tow rope and correct towing points for the car as in towing eye You are not permitted to use the 3rd lane unless: You are passing an abnormally wide load usually under police escort or 1 or more of the lanes are closed. Hope this helps.

Very nice Darren. I must say I have been checking regularly to see when it would be up and running! - Worth the wait! :thumb right: Still after getting a rebuild kit and very soon (next few days hopefully!!) Have you none at all as really would prefer to get from you. If not is there anywhere else you could recommend? Will also be looking to get RSR outlet, 68mm pulley and fuel pressure regulator and possibly red top injectors when completed the re-build Keep up the good work :notworthy:

I'm an Account Manager for Canon (UK) Ltd working in the City Centre of Birmingham. Basically I sell High Volume Print Systems, Document Management Software Systems and networks amongst many other products. All good though as covering the Centre I get all the Big Clients :D It's great when all is going well - nuff said!

Hmmmm Bonnet vents from a Ford - The only let down! Otherwise very nice!

Should be no reason why this can't be done. Just means a slightly different cut pattern to the shield. The plan will be to have these made in polished stainless steel with rubber edging strip.

Henny Vacuum pipe seems to be in good nick. Checked the Blue Temp sensor already and that is fine. The most likely fault from the description seems to be the Lambda sensor. Is there any way of checking that this is dead before shelling out hard earned wonga????? also cant seem to locate any air leaks so assume for now that there isn't. Thanks

I must say my favourite was definalty an Aston Martin 6.3 ltr Vantage But closely followed by a 4ltr Jag Sovereign - BUT with £40K worth of modifications was called a Jaguar Tornado built by Paramount Performance and was bored out to 4.2 Twin Turbo with about 450bhp and featured on Top Gear (I went along to the shoot) Clarkson was loving it and went out on a road test - brought it back 4 hours later!!! No film crew (gone home) and minus a full tank of fuel. But god it was quick and very nice. Ho Hum oh I wish I had silly money like some of my old aquaintences!!!

Oh yes - I also cleaned out the Throttle body with Carb Cleaner and also the sensor on the side of the big air pipe leading to the throttle body from the charger. - Sorry I'm not the most technically minded just do as suggested by others!

Can anyone please offer some suggestions. My G60 is running a little poor! On start up the engine doesn't run well at all for the first minute or so. It seems to struggle initially - seeming to 'chug' a bit (sorry the best word I could use to describe it.) Once it's going it picks up but the idle is a little lumpy. Once driving it has quite a few flat spots and also is very thirsty. The car has always in the past been a great runner. Also I have recently fitted an electric oil pressure gauge and the T-Piece required for the sender unit. Ever since when I start the car the oile pressure light and buzzer come on for about 5 mins then doesn't come on again all day. The oile level is fine although it does seem to be burning a little oil. I replaced the oil pressure sensor plug thing but no joy. In the last few weeks to try to sort this I have replaced the Spark Plugs, Rotor Arm, Distributor Cap and Fuel Filter, also the oil filter was replaced in the last few months but hasn't affected it at all. Does anyone have any suggestions???

The knack is using a small torch held in you mouth (the only way I could do it!) just look down either side of the cluster there is a round peg that protrudes from each side of the dash that sits in a little "cradle" Use the torchlight to make sure the cluster is seated properly and evenly. This way the securing screws will also fit easily into place. Hope this helps!

I must say guys - I have seen worse HONESTLY! and that budget was small in comparison. Be prepared to laugh My neighbour is a Researcher for BBC TV and was working about 6 months ago on an Asian programme called Desi DNA. They did a feature on car culture and 3 cars were featured. I can't remember the 3rd but here is a bit about the first 2! A Corsa - The guy paid around £8000 for it but had spent well over £25,000 on the car. Very nice spinning alloys :cuckoo: 8 - YES 8 TV screens in a corsa and he wants to add 4 more!! and various other montrous rediculousarities (I made that word up for this car!!!!) The other was a Honda Civic. The guy with this had spent about £6,000 on door hinges!!!!! This was so he could have Lambo style lift up doors - what a wazzock!!!! :2gunfire: I'll try to get all the details off my neighbour and see if I can get some pics. Oh how we both wet ourselves when we saw them!!!!

That's the original Paintwork just been looked after. It was originally my parents car and as well as it more recently not doing alot of mileage (now on 94K most of that from earlier in it's life more recently only a few thou per year) and never driven over 70mph (until I got in it  ) my mum used to polish it every 2 weeks without fail using Autoglym Super Resin Polish. Hence nice shiny paintwork!!!!!! Good old mum!

Oh and the model of pro-plus speakers are:- JGX525 - 5.25 inch JS6933 - 6x9 Can be viewed atwww.pro-plussound.com I dont know the model of Power Acoustik -
I am replacing my speakers and installing an amp on a limited budget as too many other things to pay for!!! I think I have pretty much made up my mind on the JBL GTO4000 600W amp as various people have suggested it. Speakers wise I have a choice for the front of: Pro-Plus 5.25 inch or Power Acoustik 5.25 inch with a metal looking cone? Then Pro-Plus 6x9's in a stealth shelf to provide some bass as not fitting a sub! Finally a decent wiring kit. I only have a budget of around £250. Does anyone know which are better the Pro-Plus or Power Acoustik are better or if anyone has any better ideas on my budget??? Thanks guys!!!
