Is the spline too big??? There is a sleeve on the steering column of the corrado making it a larger diameter. I removed the spline on mine to reveal a smaller diameter set of splines. However mine was to fit a momo boss suitable for a mk2 golf. Still this may fix it. Just to warn you it is a bit of a bugger to get off. You'll need to remove all the plastic around the column and the indicator stalks to get behind it to give it a bit of a tap with hammer

Mine made possibly a similar noise and I believe it is the pressure plate on it's way out. Someone may correct me here but the addition of a new VR6 clutch into my G60 soon eliminated it!

G60 Renshaw is offering a charger for sale for £550 which is cheap. Get onto this link quick if you want to stand a chance!!! http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... 222#151222

I think you'll find that is the charger gone bye bye! If there is a hole in the casing it's more than likely that something has gone inside at force and has made a hasty exit out of your charger at speed at the nearest possible exit - that being the one it makes. Hence the hole. But for an expert opinion I would contact Darren at G-Werks - g-man on the forum for some advice on rebuild or replacement. But I warn you now it's going to cost.

Knock sensor was about £50 from my local dealers but they are a dealer only part!

Pablo As in the PM I can still do these but they do mount over the original dial. However they do look excellent as anyone who has seen them in mine will hopefully testify to.

You no longer get 'a few weeks grace' so just make sure you get down there tomorrow!!

Gutter fella Sorry to hear about the car, but GLAD to hear no one was hurt. What model is it as I need a few parts but needs to be from a early spec G60 -
Spoken to Darren at G-Werks and he is putting me in touch with someone who can do a rebuild for about £300 - pretty good price i reckon

Well I woke up this morning early to polish the car for the midlands meet to be greeted with a smashed drivers window, bent door frame and a missing stereo. And I thought that was bad. Was on my way to Auto Glass as they couldn't get to me and then it struck.... I now have no second gear and a requirement for a reconditioned gearbox!!!!!!! Does anyone know a reputable place to get a recon box for a G60 and roughly how much it's going to set me back. Somewhere near Brum would be nice but if I have to travel a bit I will Your help will be appreciated!!!!!!

That is also the case in England. You have to pay a registered scrapper £150 to remove and dispose of a car.

No Problems Glad I could help!

Presumeing you've loosened the bolt off that clamps it in, do you have a ball joint splitter??? You really would need one. If you haven't you'll probably need to take off the whole hub assembly and beat s**t out of it with a hammer. See if you can get to halfords or similar before they shut to get a decent ball joint splitter. I did mine a few weeks ago and it really is the best way!

What's not working about it????

Personally for my modded G60 I think it is far better to have an induction kit and heat shield, then remove the carbon cannister and have cold air feed cut into the brake air feed from under the front bumper through the carbon can hole. The more cold air you can get into the supercharger the better especially if modified so induction kit every time as can suck in far more. As for the RSR outlet. Darren at G-werks fitted one to mine when I had the charger rebuilt and uprated. It replaces the diffuser box on the charger outlet to a much larger pipe improving air flow from the charger into the engine and also allowing the charger outlet to be bored out to a much larger size. Speak to Darren (g-man) from G-werks for a more in depth explanation.

I have the boost return kit from Darren at G-werks. The slight grinding like noise is a little annoying but to an extent I think adds to the uniqueness (is that a word??) of the noise from a powerful engine Bearing in mind all the other mods that darren did (and a great job by the way!!). I think the boost let off noise after hard accelaration as your leaving behind some boy racer is all worthwhile! I've had it on 2 weeks and the amount of comments about it is great!

Go to GSF they do a complete set of Poly Bushes for the whole suspension system for really good money. Both myself and stevemac have put them on ours

Definatly don't do that. IMHO will look like something a saxo or corsa chav might do -
Just to let everyone know that is ever thinking of having performance work done on their G60. I arrived at G-Werks on saturday at 9am after a 2hr drive from Birmingham. Both Darren and Steve worked their socks off taking off the charger, rebuilding it, porting and polishing it to Stage 4. Replaced the injectors with Red Tops, Boost Return Kit, Stage 5.5 SNS Chip, new Power steering belt, knock sensor, charger oil feed, 65mm pulley, RSR outlet, and charger inlet. They worked hard until about 10pm, well beyond the call of duty but saving me having to pay for a hotel. All in all I can firmly recommend them to others without hestitation. When they gave me back the car to test, I took it out for a spin and when I got back I couldn't wipe the huge grin from my face. Excellent Service, Excellent Work and had a right Giggle. Needless to say I will soon be going back to have an oil cooler and toothed pulley kit. My only advice Darren and Steve, I'll only come back if you get some chairs! My feet were killing me!!! :D Only kidding Excellent Job Guys!!!!!! Many Thanks

Chris Is this picture of the eyebrow the one from GSF as when I went in there and asked a while ago they said ot was just a flat one and not the one that raised in the middle over the grille

I have a Sigma on my company car. If it's similar to mine it should have a little keypad hidden somewhere in the car like the glovebox where you input an overide code that should be with all your documentation Hope this helps

Powerflow do that style exhaust and are custom made. You'll need to take the motor to them though as they make to the car!

I'm insured through Chris Knott Insurance. For my G60 Fully Comp with limited mileage and social domestic (no travelling to work) Declared as not my main car as I have a company car. No no claims but a provable 5 year no accident historyand 27 years old. Every company I went to wanted £3500 to £4000. One other went to £900. Chris Knott put me on a future classic policy and all the above at £350. Cracking quote. Also they just beat my cheapest home insurance quote for the city centre of Birmingham by £100. I give top marks to them (not yet had a claim so not sure how that will go but then I hope I never have to!!!) Givce them a try - if you want I can PM them your details!!!!

What type of filter do you put on the fuel breather? How much and where would I likely get one from as my local Kevscort Shop could only affer a small green filter at £22.
