An E30 M3 sport Evo with DTM Carbon fibre inlet reving to 8.5k. Sounds unreal!!! M3 CSL track car hammering around the ring. Induction note is sweet. Also been in an MTM RS4 with Miltek at the ring. Beautiful exhaust note from it on full song!!! AC cobra V8 grunt!!

Yep, looked into this before with a mate and it is not a straightforward fit to get a sprinter intercooler into a corrado. You would be best to go for a Golf cooler as you then also use the rallye U bend and can get the pipework for it without having to fabricate your own.

Yeh sorry its a RHD car. The LHD car wouldnt have the pipes going across the bulkhead as its all the one unit as was already pointed out. A corrado has the same 2 pipes going across, in fact most VAG cars of that era have them. The set up came out of a GT Toledo (92) but is the same as my mates Corrado 16v. I really just need to know what the function of these 2 pipes are and are they gravity fed, if not then I should have no problems moving them!!

Hi all, Have recently fitted ABS to my car (MK2 golf with turbo charged 8v Engine) and just have a small problem. I am worried that the 2 larger fluid lines that go directly from the brake fluid resevior to the pump are going to be touching off the turbo and I am want to move them down slightly away from it. That is not my problem really as this would be easy enough to do. My problem is can I do this, will it affect anything. Does anyone know what is the function of these 2 extra lines going directly from the side of the resevoir to the ABS pump. The look to drop slightly in height as they go from the resevior to the pump so are the gravity fed as if I move them they may no longer be gravity fed then, or is the pump pumping them? The lines will be covered in a heat blanket and will then have a further stainless steel shield shielding them from the turbo if I can move them but just want to check that they dont have to stay exactly as they are for the abs to function! Cheers

Audioscape moulded sub enclosure - update 21/02
leon replied to Kevin Bacon's topic in ICE 'n' Secure
That is very neat looking. Is there an amp running those and if so where has he hidden it do you know? Please excuse my ignorance here as I am a total novice when it comes to ICE but would the 6" focals in the door pods (with tweeters) and those 2 in the boot combined with a larger 11" or thereabouts on the other side give a decent sound or would they be countering each other?? Assuming there were appropriate amps to run the various subs. ??? Also is there much of a difference in sound quality between a ported box and a sealed box? -

I may also be interested in one of these. Do you know what they total weight of the enclosure is. I want to get a neat install in my boot but do want it to affect performance too much!! -
The sad thing is there are actually kits out there similar to that whistle thing that will give you a fake dump valve "whoosh" form under the bonnet!! The even sadder thing is that there are muppets out there who buy them!!

As rmn said I have recently done this conversion into a mk2 golf. It was a bit of a pain in the ass really but I have to say worth it in the end. I originally started out with the intention of using the TD turbo and manifold as you have mentioned but decided against it and instead used a new T3 with the ATP manifold. I ended up building the engine to a much higher spec than originally intended. As a rough idea of the spec and power figures It has 83mm Ross Racing Forged Pistons (ie 1.9l bottom end ) Schrick cam, flowed head, 42lb injectors, FSE adj FPR, T3 turbo ATP manifold and downpipe, Merc Sprinter intercooler, Quaife Diff and Emerald Management and at 13psi (which I am led to believe the turbo isnt even under pressure!) it made 194bhp @ flywheel and 202lbft torque. I have been told that upping the boost to 18-20ish psi should see that bhp at the wheels. I have attached a pic of the finished product
