I will try to explain... The difference seemed to be with the low down torque. The car needed very little throttle movement (Less than normal) at low speed/RPM to accelerate/pull. Below 50mph in normal urban driving ie stop/start it seemed very crisp if that makes sense. As for the balls out grunt, I have absolutely no idea if it made any difference at all. I didn't get a chance to open the flood-gates due to traffic conditions. Maybe this is where the ECU overrides it all? I don't know enough about the G60 ECU to comment really, all I can say is it felt different. However, it would make an interesting experiment to conduct on a rolling road. The same car with the same enviromental conditions. This way you could analize the whole torque/power spectrum, and see what is really happening.

Compared to my push bike Joking a side, it felt a bit more torquey. I know (and agree) with what your saying about the cold/damp thing dr_matt, but I also know my cars day-to-day running characteristics a little better than you.

The council have sent me a claim form. Will keep you posted on events.

I tried the BP 102 in my G60, and it did seem to make a difference. It was quite a noticable difference if the truth be told. However, the price is just too high.

endo anyone? Sure would be - the "endo" me probably - LOL

But would you trust them at speeds? No way! The wheel would be so stressed, full of cracks and stress risers it is likely to fail at any time. I'm a mechanical design engineer by trade and have conducted numerous destructive tests at TUV, Cape and Rosyth on military hardware. Trust me on this one - when the s**t lets go at high speed with low frequency, random shock inputs (ie road conditions) it can get really messy.

I ride a Lambretta which has small wheels - it don't bare thinking about.

On the A421, about 100 yards before the RB for Whaddon. (if you were heading East towards Buckingham)

Shocker isn't it?

I can't believe my recent run of luck - I hit a sodding great pot hole in the road this morning and it has written off one of my alloys plus the tyre no doubt. (See pics) I went back later on to get a picture of the hole, but would you adam'n'eve it, the buggers had just finished filling it in!!!! It must be my lucky day eh? What are the chances of that happening?? I'm going to pursue this with the Milton Keynes Council, so I would be interested to hear of anyone else's missfortunes at the hands of our country's roads. In the meantime, I need another 17" TSW Reflex if any of you guys have one or a part set kicking about? I have posted an ad in the wanted section. Cheers lads - I look forward to hearing your comments

What type of Corrado do you own buddy? When my G60 spat the seal in the charger, it would churn out white/grey smoke under load. The best way to check is to remove the outlet hose from the blower and look for excess oil in the pipe/blower. This is what mine looked like!

Black Smoke = Over fueling White/Grey smoke = Burning oil = £££

I love white VW's - here are my two. The Corrado no longer has eyebrow and has a 3 slat grill fitted & the Golf now has a set of BBS splitz fitted. No recent pics though - sorry

My Jabba charger went at 23K - this is what it looked like inside. It let go on the motorway at about 70mph - normal steady driving - oil up to temp etc. It looked like an F1 car letting go from behind due to the oil being drawn into the motor. BIG cloud of white smoke.

Saw a dark blue Corrado (I Think) coming out of Bedford yesterday morning. Heading toward MK on the A421. Exchanged a wave 8) I was in the white G60. Any takers?? :?: -
I had a full geometry set up done not so long ago! I'm gonna be slightly p****d off if I have to do it all again.

Shite!!! Do you really need to re-set the camber? I thought the spring would drop down far enough to get the mount out! I'm running shorter springs which fully decompress when the car is raised off the ground!
-
I need to replace the front top mounts on my G60. Any advice on how to do this - I'm looking to use the OEM ones! Ta

The cars are all becoming of that age now I suppose
-
You may need to fit spacers on the front dude! I have TSW Reflex 17's on my G60 - they require a 5mm spacer on the front! If you don't fit the spacer they wobble like f**k - get it checked ASAP!!!!!
