Big Boyz Toyz in Thurrock £650 to have your original engine re-built. (Price for a G60) I had mine done there and can highly recommend. They turn it arround in 7 days too. :) Check out their website for full details

Yeah I saw them too - is it any one on here? I'm originaly from Aylesbury and often see them when I go back to da hood.
-
Bally - when are these meetings on dude? As I live in MK too - I would'nt mind coming along to the next one if thats okay with you guys.
-
Saw a Blueberry VR6 in MK last night about 8pm - heading south I was in the white G60 sat in the layby opposite the Tawney Owl.

I'm in the early stages of fitting a SAAB 900 intercooler. It does fit behind the slam panel quite nicely but I've still to work out the plumbing. Looks feasable though.....

Black one in MK tuesday evening about 6pm joining A421 towards M1.
-
A very good price indeed - they must be making them by the bucket load!

I'm totaly with Darren on this one! Would you drive your car with un-ballanced wheels? I think not. So imagine what an un ballanced fly wheel feels like to your mains and gearbox input shaft!
-
Small world ain't it? I think you bought a pulley tensioner off me on e-bay recently??? I saw your motor up on stands when I delivered it - what are you doing to it??
-
You can make the solid front mounts pretty cheaply - I had a couple of them made for £35ea! I have a set of detailed drawings for sale (£10) that you can take to a CNC machine shop and get one made.
-
I had a 3.0SC - they are a lovely motor but quite difficult to live with on a daily basis and not that quick (by todays standards) if I'm honest about it. A VR6 or G60 would easily keep up with it. Do your homework before buying one - if you're looking for a good all rounder the C2 is the one to go for.

I dont f*cking believe it!!!! The SKYLINE got bashed today!!

Green C in Bedford on A421 @ about 5.54pm I was in a white G60 going the opposite way (MK bound)
-
By the way Darren - did you take a look at that door for me yet???
-
Am I still selling her? I should really and will if anyone is interested - however after all the work I've done it'll be hard to part company
-
I'm completely removing the OEM one from the wing and putting the new SAAB one in front of the radiator in the gap on the passenger side. Thats the plan. It is a bit bigger than the std OEM one and it'll be right in the air flow
-
Cheers Darren Let me know what its like - may well be interested

I've just spent the last 3 months totally rebuilding the C to a very high (No expense spared) standard. I was backing it out of the garage on Monday to change the oil after the first 100 miles had sucessfully been covered when I saw my tool chest moving too!! To cut a long story short - I now have a (No Bulls**t) 2 foot long crease down the passenger side door  Arrrgggghhh [[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[ghewIONG'KLWnha'''''''''''''''''ionb'io\OBG'DNGBP'r  The Car is white if anyone is breaking a C with a good NS door.

Got a SAAB 900 turbo intercooler that i'm going to try and fit to the C. Has anyone done this before?? The IC is 400mm tall x 270mm wide x 70mm deep. The hose connections are 60mm in diameter - all sounds good so far. See attached picture....

Make sure you don't have an airlock in your water system.

Sonds like it could be pinking which would indicate that the timing is out. I'd check this first as it is the cheapest and easiest to cure.

check this e-bay link... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 59563&rd=1

Deadly serious - some of the quickest sprint cars are 16V's on throttles. I have also seen a number of articles about bike carb conversions now - it seems to be a trend that is increasing in popularity due to the budget nature of it. (Loads of big capacity bikes with big carbs in breakers yards) It may be worth looking into - food for thought :)
