  1. Good show! Really impressed with the rocket, just gutted the fuel tank didn't detatch.
  2. At a guess I don't think that would work as the reason you'd use 2e pistons in a 9a with standard crank to lower compression is that the 2e pistons are dished. I think the stroke would put the pistons higher than the deck height with a diesel crank...
  3. What you could do is go for a 2.0l bottom end (9a, 6a or ABF) and stick a diesel crank and low comp pistons. This should give you a slightly higher compression than standard and will increase the capacity slightly AFAIK. Also think about moving over a custom ECU. If you fancy a bit of DIY then Megasquirt is a cheap option but you'd need a fuel rail (BBM do one that can be bought through g-man on here) and a couple of other bits and bobs, but will give you fully mappable management that can in fact be done by yourself. 4. Any idea on the ratios of these boxes?
  5. Don't think so, the raceland ones don't fit, tried them. The issues you've got is the CAT. If you don't mind swapping the CAT onto the car everytine its up for an MOT then get a golf 16v one!!!!
  6.   Not atm as ive got interior plans taking all my money for this year  If all goes to plan then a new engine should be going in winter 07/08 :D and what engine might that be???
  7. All it would affect is you MPG calculation as it uses the amount of vacuum to work out consumption of the engine AFAIK
  8. JBOB, got any plans for the engine, now that the exterior is looking super cool??? [hint] 16v turbo [/hint]
  9. It is via a vac pipe dude. The ECU isn't that clever! It could be leaking somewhere along the line or it isn't connected. The vac pipe connects to a pressure sensor on the back of the clocks and AFAIK to the rubber pipe just in front of the throttle body (there are two vac pipes there one for the MFA and one that goes to the airbox)
  10. That's a good tip, you can get a scart lead for under a fiver!!
  11. There is some seriously nice Corrados on that! :afro: Bumpercam is cool!!
  12. They sure do. Full installation instructions and operating instructions. Cheers
  13. Super stealth! Cheers Mic, I was gonna stick a piccie up of my cluster, but you beat me too it!! Good lad! 8)
  14. That's just superb! Doesn't need the car now as he's no longer trying to make up for other defficiencies
  15. Depression. What happened there dude?
  16. To be fair, you don't see the LEDs in the cluster unless they are lit, so being totally stealth anyway. It might be possible to add a buzzer or something, but that would require additional components on the circuit board, that we have custom made.
  17. 600bhp? Well, I'm sure that's definately not enough.... [/sarcasm]
  18. Christmas is well over, I think you all need shift lights for your Corrado's
  19. It is raj yes. Was going to find out if he could modify my manifold for me... Already got some pictures of his manifold as well!
  20. Cool cheers dude. I actually go the idea to use a 20v turbo inlet from a guy on Ed38. He's used it on his 16v GT passat turbo to good effect!
  21. Too true matey! I've got a couple of people who might be able to do it, just waiting at the mo. I think I'm going to get one of these first from g-werks and get the engine running with a standard inlet. One of the reasons being a couple of people have said to me now that the engine might be really peaky running a 20v turbo inlet normally aspirated, and I can't see the turbo going on for a minimum of 6 months, so I'd rather have the car running sweet for that time. I can always sell it on once I've finished with it. I'll just replace the injector seats in the standard manifold for some G60 seats.
  22. All I can say is....stalled :( Struggling with getting my manifold modified, so might have to put it all back to gether for another month while I amass some more bits!
  23. Mrs B has in fact gone off the idea now, but said that she would prefer to have one good Corrado, rather than two mediocre ones
  24. Was your Corrado hungry? Not too much damage which is a good thing. Aren't you selling though? If so that's a bit of a kick in the nuts...
