Dave, when we first acquired my 2.0l 16v, Demon Tweeks said that K&N didn't do a replacement filter for the 2.0l so I went for a Grren Cotton one instead. Same type of filter that you clean periodically and its done me fine!

TIG Welding experience required to modify my inlet manifold

Ooh, do you think any of them would be interested in a little job for me? -
Alright guys, Anyone on here hwo can help me modify my inlet manifold? I need to replace the mounting flange on my 20v inlet manifold with a 16v one, and need someone who can weld aluminium, and preferably with access to other machining tools?? Help! Cheers

Gold star for coolrado ! Althought they are now back to the original name of In-car Systems, doing a selection of other stuff like Speedlines, Bilstein, Cobra, Eibach to name but a few!!
-
Cheers!...Saw you were getting some good work done on yours too! So figured I had better get my act together and try to have this can on the road (in some form at least) by the summer! I think your turbo will be well ahead of mine, just getting the squirt on mine for now, will move torwards the turbo as and when funds allow.

Just walk up to the offender and ask to borrow it to do your ironing on. Or a picnic  I call them "to$$er tables"! -Anything that looks like it has ram-raided Halfords, a loud of stuff fallen onto it and then driven off! -Rediculously large alloys and standard suspension -Lexus lights not on a Lexus -Sunstripes, especially if they have the make or model of the car on them. Like I didn't know! -Oversize exhausts on engines that don't warrant it -Bonnet scoops Oh and why oh why do "they" think that more than one pair of 6x9's (or smaller) on the back shelf is cool? I remember seeing a 306 when I used to work at a car audio shop in Shrewsbury with no less than 5 pairs of speakers on the rear shelf. Must of cost the bloke a couple of hundred quid, which would have been much better spent on a good set of components! Laugh, yes I did and told the bloke too!! He though it was great, the poor deluded lad!

Mine does this too! Only after I've been giving it some stick! I think the pump maybe on the way out!

Good skills Dec, glad to see you're making good progress! You can buy them ready built, but that's half the fun! It isn't that difficult to put together to be fair!

About bloody time! You see all these BMW's and Mercs driving round with the driver on there bloody phones! Like £30 would ever be a deterant! If I can afford a Bluetooth handsfree kit for my car, I'm sure these well paid business men/women can! Drives me mad!

There is some good info on what to do here Just stick a 9a or 6a bottom end in it, and keep your KR head, and the KR cams and it should be good for around 150bhp!

I'm glad its started now, just hope it doesn't take too long! Currently using Mrs B 306 to get to work as she broke her wrist and can't drive for 4-6 weeks!
-
Just said about this to Mrs B, she looked at me and said "are you being serious?"!! I guess just as long as you do an empty cycle aftwrads it should be fine 8) But a Corrado is part of the family? So why shouldn't it get to use the dishwasher! Mrs B said it would be fine!! Its the effect of the Corrado Forum on her I'm sure!!

Started stripping down the inlet today, and snapped the end of my 6mm Allen key off in one of the hex bolts that holds the lower section of the manifold onto the head! :x still managed to get it off by smaking a 12mm socket over the top of the little bugger  Before After Next job is to remove the metering head and stuff, but ran out of light, so that's a job for next weekend!

Alright dude! How's it going? Got your new motor yet? I'm after some 51mm bore and about 6inches of Samco, that's all I need! Early non fly-by-wire 20v turbo (AGU) throttle body. as long as it is cable operated it should be fine.
-
Possibly, but it might be an idea to try and get an oscilloscope on the spoiler output from the clocks first to see if the signal is ok. Have you tries a different spoiler control module?
-
Alright dude. Got the inlet etc off Dubforce! 8) Yeah turbo is still on the cards! Just gonna get it running MegaSquirt first!
-
Are you fitting the hole mechanism including panel and blind?
-
Inspiration! That's all I can say dude!! 8) 8)

I agree, loving the wheels, and the car like! 8)

Liking he position of the Camera on the rear wing....but might be better to turn the mic off or use a sock on the mic, as all you can here is the wind noise?? Other than that, super cool!!

Andy, totally missed this! Your spoiler not working then? If you have anything attached to this wire (blue/white) then disconnect it. Tis the wire that send the signal to the standard radio that the speed is increasin and therefore the volume should increase! The VR clocks do have some protection in them (unlike the 16v and G60 clocks) to protect them against anyone sticking the wrong voltage up that wire so in that respect I'm not sure that is the problem in your case. I've had a look at both Hodgkinson's and STORM2's clocks and found nothing technically wrong with them on the bench (although I might have missed something) so not sure what could cause the issue. The clocks have a protection resitsor that the 16v clock don't have and in both the cases I've seen that resistor has been intact. Tis a difficult one. can't see it being an IC especially with that resistor still in situ and functioning correctly.
-
Yeah I saw that....and the exhaust manifold, bit of a piece of art! Looking forward to seeing off a few VR's (not yours Kev  ) to be honest, including the missus when she gets one!!

Get some Audioscape pods (normally about £180) stick some good components like Focal/Hertz/Seas etc in them running off an amp (genesis/audison/Alpine v12) and it'll be all good!
