  1. Bugger! What is the best course of action in the interim, as I can't afford oto get it repaired at the mo?
  2. Are there any armour door plates available for a corrado? Some fcuking pikey b@stard tried to break into my Corrado, yesterday afternoon, in the bloody work car park! The alarm must have gone off and scared them off, but when I was leaving last night the car was unlocked and the Clifford gave three chirps indicating that the alarm had gone off Look what the did....
  3. You can hope..... ....fingers crossed
  4. I made my own uprated headlight loom, but only uprated the wiring for the diiped/mainbeam, not the spots. I used a relay and fuse for each each side too, so that if I do have a problem with a relay or fuse it is unlikely that both sides will fail at the same time and if that does happen I'll still have the spots to fall back on! You only need the dipped uprated anyway!

    Size Issue haha

My better half is 5' 4" as well and she managed to drive our Corrado, just with the seat as far forward it could go and on its maximum height!!
  6. I'm sure I've seen quite a few conversions successfully using spacer gaskets. As long as you are careful with your boost levels and have a well mapped management, you wouldn't necessarily have any problems. I'm not saying its the best route to go down, just that it can be done successfully with a spacer. Plus if you are on a tight budget, pistons and rods are quite a lot more cash than a spacer!
  7. Some thoughts... Inlet Manifolds Audi S2 with 5th runner cut off Modified 20v ABF Custom Exhaust Manifolds Audi S2 with 5th runner cut off 20v with adapter (they are available somewhere) Custom Management G60 ECU Megasquirt Omex Emerald DTA Blocks to choose from... 9a } 6a } all with with spacer or custom pistons ABF } KR with spacer or S2 pistons 2e (8v) with 16v head, intermediate shaft and crank pulley Turbo's Erm.... Turbo specification is still a dark art to me at the mo
  8. My C used to belong to my girlfriend! I started modifying it and she said that I might as well have it
  9. You aren't gonna get anywhere near the MR2 Turbo unless you spend a lot of cash and sticking a turbo on it!. But you could check out the 16v tuning guide on the wiki for cheaper upgrades to your engine!
  10. Could I use an s2 manifold with the 5th runner chopped off, and a plate welded on teh end to take a VR throttle body then? I'm trying to keep cost down as much as possible really.... Then, I would just need to find someone around my area who is handy with a TIG welder...
  11. Erm, yes  Maybe I should find a welder.... :(
  12. Would an s2 manifold be better than a 20v one then? I don't have access to any welding gear, so custom making one isn't really an option, so if I'm going to have to do any modifying, then a manifold that will work N/A and forced, would be a bonus. I can't see myself going for silly power, so I'm not overly concerned about losing a little bit of power (short term anyway)
  13. Was thinking of using a modified 20v inlet manifold, but was looking for one with the throttle body on the left (cambelt side). Does anyone know which car that is from? (TT?) Would that have a big enough plenum?
  14. Don't tempt me  Can't justify buying one just yet (unless its rediculously cheap  ), I want to get MS working on mine N/A first, so I've got other stuff to get first. Well, an engine rebuild would be on the cards anyway, so I'd prefer to lower the compression in an other way to using a spacer gasket, plus the piston crowns on the 2E are supposed to be thicker than 9a ones AFAIK. Also don't mind doing the work if it reduces the cost, but not the reliability Quite like the idea of using all standard parts if possible anyway (not including ARP rod and head bolts and the like)!
  15. So I should be ok then! As I'll be running Megasquirt on it, it shouldn't be a problem to tweak the fuelling to match. Not sure, could be 6 months or 3 years! Depends on money situation really and also the condition of my block! (will be looking at finding a 2E 8v block for the right price)
  16. What injectors are you using dude, and do they fit into the standard inlet manifold?
  17. My favs Borbet A's (of course) Keskin KT1's Azev A's ATS cups design 90's
  18. I've got a decision to make, and I'm not sure what to do.... Going to be putting Megasquirt onto my C, and will need to change the existing inlet manifold as the injectors that I will need wont fit into it, so I'm looking at getting an ABF inlet manifold, fuel rail and throttle body. ultimately I want to turbo the engine, which would ideally mean that I'd be better off with a short intake manifold of some description (audi s2 or modified 20v). So.... Would it be a problem to run it normally aspirated with a short intake runner manifold, or would it become to undriveable like that? I use the car everyday to get to work and back so it needs to be reasonable well mannered. Discuss....
  19. Definately tint the crystals, they look really 8)
  20. just_say_meth, I see that you have a G60 and hodgkinsons, has a VR so the MFA functionality I think might work slightly differently on both. Does the G60 clocks take a vaccuum feed straight into the back of them? I know that the VR clocks don't but my clocks (2.0l 16v) do :?
  21. Its already on the car, it just is badly fitted, and has a blow on it somewhere! Just need to get under the car properly!
  22. I need someones help! Has anyone got access to a four-poster ramp in the Cambridge area, as I have had it with trying to fix my exhaust with only the use a trolley jack. I've tried fixing it on countless occassions an I've had enough
