    Wanted drivers door

Hello, anyone got a good drivers door, no rust. North East area would be ideal. Current one has large dint in it where motorbike side swiped it, but everything else OK. Would prefer whole door and fittings so don't have to dismantle but if necessary can swap everything over. Current one white but expecting to have to spray it anyway, so any colour. Cheers
  3. I've got 2 brand new in box standard ones if you don't go braided give me a shout
  4. Hello, not sure if your sorted, skipped to end of thread, I'll be doing an ad. when got time but just posted quick reply to someone on anotjer thread so I'll copy here and message me if sounds up your street. I'm in Newcastle area so not million miles away from Glasgow and got a transport bloke who is delivering my new car (well old car... Audi quattro) very reasonable price who'd deliver. You could jump in white one and drive to Penzance if want though, it's perfect, bar door:- Hello, was just thinking of selling my white one, as need room, got another car coming. It's a VR6 so might be no good for you but hell of a car. Totally rebuilt engine and gearbox, basically everything new within last 2 years, I mean everything, RS4 alloys, refurbed, koni adustables, Eibachs, big brakes, grey leather, BMC carbon fibre filter heatshield and cold air feed, very neatly done, EV6 injectors, remapped, stainless steel exhaust, decatted. just flew through MOT no advisories, passes emissions without cat runs so clean, very quick, very very grippy, new continentals all round, stops very well. Everything works, mechanically perfect, abs perfect, new clutch, no rust, only work needs is a big dint in door, where a motorbike side swiped it, only the door, and I can supply door but will need spraying. Don;t have time or room to sort. Message me if interested, I'm going to do an ad. and pics whn get chance but if you can do deal quickly bargain to be had. Insurance co. valued at £6500 for claim, in writing, took cash in lieu, but like say don't really have time and room to sort. Basically every mechanical part is new, bushes, sensors, pipes, joints, heater matrix, blower etc. but ask about anything. I'll do full list when do ad. but it will be a long one.

  6. My white, has a dented door (new door needed probably, awkward dent), and dent in arch, body wise rust free, cracked windscreen, couple of inches right in corner of passenger side. Mechancially everything is pretty much brand new, engine, gearbox, brakes, every sensor and ancillary. I'm still driving it, drives perfect. As I have another VR6 I was currently building up anyway I was just going to break and use some parts for the other one, but that car also has very low mielage engine, plus new 312's to go on etc., so everybody thinks I'm bad. If anyone wants to make me an offer and repair it, contact me I'll give you full details, if your local I'll take you a spin, still on road. Even if CAT D, I can keep car, already agreed that with them. Also got leather interior. Or if break and you want first refusal on any parts I don't use give me a shout. Everything works on car. Brakes 288's front and MK4 back, both less than year old. Refurbed RS4's. Strut braces front and back. Be perfect for a paint sprayer. P.S. new EV6 injectors, BDA Carbon filter and cold feed, remapped ECU, 10MM race leads etc. all the bits you'd want.

    2.8 v's 2.9

Think I'll hook up 2.8 with 2.9 throttle etc., stick decat, mapped ecu and intake system and see how goes, always got the 2.9 sat there if fancy, which goes exceptionally well. The 2.8's are apparently better choice if ever want to turbo it are go big power, less likely to go oval as stronger walls. 2.9 is pretty much bored to limit from outset I'm told, so handy having both

    2.8 v's 2.9

I've only got garage room for one, building blue one at Chris's (Lilfuzzer), hoping to have blue one ready shortly, and was going to use Koni's, interior, for blue one, probs. all ancillaries and sensors, brand new, from white one. Think just bought last new MAF available, tracked one down in Denmark, fitted 3 days before crash, lot of new parts on the white one already very hard to get, be kicking myself can't get stuff shortly and had got rid of white one which was like a brand new parts bin. I'd heard that bout 2.8's, I'm fitting 2.8 to OBD1 wiring in Corrado, hopefully will work, does OBD11 make any diff to power. 2.9 was remapped, I'll try that ECU too, but remapped before fitting EV6 injectors. Running them with 3 bar pressure regulator which still gives more flow than standard injectors at 4 bar, but way too rich at tickover at 4 bar, I'm assured if remapped by someone good though it'll run at 4 bar, and more power to come, on 2.9, and don't see why not 2.8.

    2.8 v's 2.9

Hello, currently building up a blue VR6 which has a 2.8 Golf VR6 fitted with 65000 miles not wired or plumbed in yet. Got a white VR6 with fully rebuilt 2.9, rebuilt gearbox, just been hit by motorbike, insurance want to Cat D it even though just door, and dint in arch (bit of a side swipe rather than big collision), I can keep car, everything mechanical on white one brand new, or like year old so good parts bin for blue one. White one rust free, and assessor of opinion could'nt find another door in that nick, and not repairable, can't get new. What can I do to 2.8 to up power a bit without turboing, white on got new EV6 injectors, decat, BDA carbon filter, which can all go on and I'll fit the 2.9 throttle. 2.9's have diff. cams do they? I'd like to give 2.8 a run, I'll probs keep 2.9 as a spare, can I see 200 bhp or more from the 2.8?

    VR6 Bosch 6 pin MAF

Thanks, I'm at work, (secure gov. system that won't allow googlemail to access) so I'll do it tonight on laptop. Can't paypal on my phone.

    VR6 Bosch 6 pin MAF

OK deal. Can you send me something so can Paypal it. If paypal it today, post off tomorrow? Should be plenty of time, only going from Glasgow (?) to South Shields (Newcastle). My Paypal is on [email protected] think that's all you need?
  12. I've bought another VR6 I've wanted for a while and currently building up, maybe I'll try that on new one, b ut not looking for too much hassle on current one. What's it entail and what's the advantages? Funny enough the new one comes with a very low milage Golf 2.8 engine, but was going to swap for my 2.9 from other Corrado as it's less than 10 000 since full rebuild, mapped and slightly uprated and runs incredibly sweet bar occasional stutter on idle at mo courstesy of MAF, loads of power can't see 2.8 engine ever matching it without turboing.

    VR6 Bosch 6 pin MAF

Hello, anybody got a good or even better new Bosch MAF, or similar they'd like to sell?
  14. As title really, finding it impossible to get a new Bosch MAF, can you adapt and run the later 4 pin which can get and what does it entail? Anyone done it? Only 5 of the 6 pins are actually used so hopefully doable. Everything else on car is new, engine, evry sensor ancillary etc. suspect MAF ain't 100% so be nice to renew that too.
  15. I've got a spare one, I'll check number when in garage but it's off a 94 VR6 Corrado, so pretty sure it'll fit, good nick, works as well as brand new one put on.
  16. Removing the oil filter carrier will make a lot easier and can then be done without removing manifold. Personally I'd renew oil cooler seal and filter carrier seal which are propbably equally old and brittle and been known to leak, and treat it to oil and filter change.

    Bmc cda

Meant passes without the CAT i.e. with decat fitted

    Bmc cda

If you add to the CDA a decat pipe and then a remap you will see a performance difference, but you will really need remapped to exploit. Think about replacing standard, probably very old injectors with new EV6 ones, lower you'll prob. have to lower FPR to 3 or 3.5 and you'll see further improvements on a good engine. Obviously decide on injectors first and then remap or you'll have to do it twice. Mine still passes emissions without decat by the way, engine is very new but any decent nick engine should still pass, old engine flew through with 140 000 on it (if your worried about having ti reinstall decat every MOT)
  19. Don't want to hijack your post but I also need these so on offchance you get offered 2 give me a shout please. I was a bit slow fitting my doorcards and my bull terrier ate them! Luckilly I'd already got seats and rears fitted.
  20. White VR6's normally really rare but 2 on Ebay at mo just came up, have a look, don't know either car, maybe someone on here does I'm biased as got a white one but I'd go with white. Looks especially nice with RS4 wheels, got 1 set in silver 1 in anthracite, both nice but I'd go with anthracite.
  21. I'd get new ones and have ready, get a good make, not very expensive and easy to fit, and sounds like garage you went to probs just got the cheapest based on their workmanship you mentioned. They shouldn't be packed with grease, need room to expand, bout 2/3's full I normally go but book will probs tell you half.
