2014 Headlight Switch Group Buy. Now Arrived!
Rich the Chef replied to 8vMatt's topic in Forum Group-Buys
I will do. I'm now running an uprated three relay/three fuse loom. It came with the car and replaces a shocking homemade two relay one. We plugged the driver side fly wire into the original loom. All contacts are good and I didn't see a dim assist in the wing.. (Removed?) My friend who is a senior electrician/fitter/technician/alarm/genius.. 😄 Said he thought potentially the switch is at fault.. Either on or off.. With the side only setting failing. We then read about the side light assist.. Extra voltage to sides and dip bulb to give stronger side light. Possible drawing enough current so as to fire the relays... I'll replace the switch with an led one if mines not already done. I'll check in the next couple of days as cars off tomorrow morning for some more work. Thanks -

Congratulations Matt. How can I tell if my switch is an upgraded one? Is there a part number to compare? Mine lights up Green/red but no idea if Led or bulb... Is that standard in late switches? All three of the other Corrados I've had, had early type switches. -

Are these the same ones on eBay? I think I need a new switch. It seems to work but dip beam is in when side lights are on also.. Friend thinks it's faulty switch... -
Thank you. 👍

Hi. Well the 'rado failed it's mot for not having dip beam...there is an awful homemade setup there at the moment. Plastic outdoor lighting junction boxes and yellow tape everywhere... So I'm after some fitting instructions for an aftermarket headlamp loom... It came with the car and is a 3 relay setup. It has two genuine connectors with a wire coming off each. Which I presume are for fogs? There is the battery lead and three relays and a cluster of spade clip ends... I'll try and post a photo. But if it's similar to anything I can use as a guide I'd like to get it fitted. Also which sender do I replace on a VR6 to get the temp gauge working correctly... It's currently showing mid 60c at run temp. Fans working fine. Thanks

Just realised I've posted this in the wrong section. Sorry.

Thank you very much that's really great help. -
Just looking to fit new top mounts and stops to my VR6 Corrado as I'm putting some coilovers on. I figure it's worth popping new on while its in bits and then I only track and camber once. What is needed and who or what's recommended? Poly or standard? I don't want to miss anything out and want to put a full strut with all new parts in place of the OEM stuff. Thanks

Thanks Hassan and Faisal. Love the wheels

Have replied to you both. Not sure if you are getting pm's? I'll have the wheels. Thanks

Hi Hassan, Nothing's come through? Could you try again please. Cheers

Cleaned the day lights out of her and still a long way to go. Have seen FK coils for £155. I had the blue version of FK on one of my Rallyes and couldn't fault them. Anyone use FK?

Bahn Brenner Motorsport do wonders with G60.

Hi, I've been looking at the 'budget' options. Similar coilovers 15 years ago were £400plus and now are £160 a set. Some people get out off by the price being too low. I'm planning on only using her for road trips and that will be mainly for fun. So I've looked at Jom and Ap coils. Today however I'm cleaning... A years worth of cobwebs. 😄

Hi all, I've just bought myself a tidy little VR6 to add to my fleet of VAG cars. She's a dragon green manual with 93k and is totally standard. This is my 3rd Corrado. I've had an 1800 16v and a Lhd G60 as well as a long term loan of a 'sorted' VR6 a few years ago. The plan is a few cosmetic bits and pieces. Wheels, coilovers and a good clean up. Currently looking into useable budget coilovers. Any recommendations are welcome.

Hi Hassan,
I've just seen your ad for the Dare alloys.
Would you accept an offer on them of £375?
I can come and collect them during the week.
Regards
Richie
