  1. if the garage is a bodyshop and not jus a man in a shed with a spray gun you should be fine
  2. plastic lens on em, on further investigation they say Corrado95 on the side of the box, so could be late spec. Seems they are made by a company called dectane but stamped as SONAR Ive not got a corrado with a front end at the moment so no pics im afraid
  3. well they are the same shape as the early spec corrado lights, tabs are in the same place and wiring looks to match so thats as good a fit as id expect lol
  4. yep they can, did notice they have 2 bulbs in the main section instead of 1 like the inpros
  5. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180192387504 thats the ebay auction for them with pics
  6. They cost me £150 all in including postage from belgium and they were really well packed! Ill post up some pics tonight when i get in from work
  7. Anyone else got a set of SONAR headlamps? I just bought a set off ebay seem as good quality as my old Inpro's but ive not got a running C at the moment so cant test em. Any thoughts?
  8. theres a guide in the wiki as I said its not at all hard to do, would only take an hour or so with a trolly jack and a few basic tools
  9. Ive removed a few alarms in the past. If you havent got a wiring diagram for it its a bit tricky and time consuming but still doable. Most decent alarms have more than 1 box, so simply finding one and cutting the wires wont work and will cause u more headaches! The way to do it is to find one of the boxes, the "clicking" one is probably easiest. Then trace the wires from it back to the points on the original car loom and start removing them from there. Try and remove the alarm loom in 1 peice, as its easier to make sure youve not missed anything. The good thing about alarms is the wires arent usually colour coded, most of the time its all black wiring so its easy to workout what belongs to the car and what belongs to the alarm. Expect it to take a day or so and you wont be far wrong. Good Luck!
  10. a great way ive used in the past to waterproof wires is to get some washer jet hose and feed the wires through that, then at the ends where it leaves the pipe just squeeze in some clear silicone sealant. Its a bit fiddly but when youve got wires that sit in water or dampness all the time it keeps them nice and fresh

    Carbon Roof

ive decided to be boring and am having the hole welded up by a local classic car restoration company. The guy is going to use the original sunroof skin, weld a lip around the inside of the original sunroof so it overlaps with the roof (on the inside). Then hes going to weld that to the roof to fill the whole the he said he will backfill the gap with a bead of weld then grind it all flat so it dissappears. Hes done numerous similar jobs and never had a roof buckle (had a 70's porsche in having the same job done and looks spot on) Anyway wish me luck lol
  12. mine started doing the same about 2 weeks before the oilpump got blocked by a melted baffle plate causing a whole heap of trouble :( If in any doubt id definatly whip the sump off and check the baffle plate, perhaps even put a new oil pump in, its a really easy job, only two bolts and not really expensive to do. Really wouldnt mess around with oil pressure on the G60 could be costly

    Carbon Roof

ive got a friend who would weld it for me, hes recently done his E36 m3 and it went fine, he did tig weld it tho which welds at a lower temp than mig. A roof skin swap would be the ideal way to do but I cant find a non sunroof skin anywhere, any tips finding one?

    Carbon Roof

the other option was to simply weld the roof shut and remove the mechanism, or get a non sunroof skin and swap it over. Problem is im no good with carbon or fibreglass so was hoping someone had done it or knew where to get one from lol

    Carbon Roof

Im building a track car, and ive got a sunroof, so seems a carbon roof would solve 2 problems (1 having a sunroof and 2 saving weight) Question is who here has done it, what did it cost and wanna sell me a carbon skin? lol
