ive got a similar problem, ive got 2 corrados sitting outside my house in the courtyard we own but the neighbours share a small part of it, that have a mk4 golf, toyota mrs, saxo and clio and have the cheek to say 2 corrados a mk2 golf and a scirocco is 2 many cars when they have much less room to park than we do

The airbox on the 1.8 16v is full of oil and water, as is the 4th plug bore, the plug is due to a knackered rocker cover gasket but why would the air box be full also?
-
anything will fit anything, its just a matter of how good you or your bodyshop is

I recently changed the standard rears for a set of red and clear split and when I took apart the original set up I noticed that 2 of the bulb holders were not being used on the lights, in particular the passenger side fog light and the drivers side reversing light, Is this normal? Ive "fixed" it by making myself a set of looms to make use of the complete bulb holders so now have 2 reversing lights and 2 fogs but why werent they all used as standard?

Using 1.9L diesel (MK2 or MK3 Golf) bottom end ??
ghee60 replied to BigTartanJudge's topic in Engine Bay
well the bore and stroke of a vw 1.9 tdi engine is as follows bore = 79.5 stroke = 95.5 as we all know to work out displacement from then we do the following:: bore x bore x stroke x 0.7854 x number of cylinders so that means the diesel puts out 1896cc The G60 being 81 x 86.4 of course means the pistons will not fit in the holes. The only non-diesel vw engine I know of that has a bore of 79.5 are the early 1600 engines. However it should be possible to bore out a diesel block quite considerably considering the strength they need to withstand the compression on a diesel, so if you had a diesel bottom end and then fitted g60 pistons with a bore of 81mm you would (in theory) have displacement of 1968cc which gives you a 1900 (well closer to 2.0) bottom end of extreme strength -
and sticker on the boot says cheldan, dunno y was on there when i got it
-
crisis over, the code is LP7Z which I believe is light grey metallic
-
the boot looks like it says its satin silver, which it isnt but as i said u can only see the top half off the letters and numbers that make up the code
