  1. Genuine sensors? Take a photo of how they appear, just to confirm they're in the correct places etc... What was the reason for changing the old sensors? Might be worth fitting the old one back (one by one) to determine which one it is thats causing an issue, even brand new, and especially if its a cheap repro part it could be faulty from new.
  2. Try the german ebay they often have early spec lights/indicators and fogs for sale... :)
  3. I had a mk4 R32 last year, they are really nice cars BUT there are perhaps better options for your money, however they do also hold value well. A lot of them have rust though, I looked at 4 before buying mine and they all had rusty arches/spots on the quarter panels etc and in really random places... So try to get as many pictures and ask as many questions as you can if it's not local. I agree that the VR does sound better as standard, however the Miltek exhaust on the R32 sounds awesome, and is a popular mod so you may even find one with it already fitted. Also check that the coil packs have been replaced under warranty/recall, if not and you do buy one, get them replaced FOC from VW.
  4. I don't think it is bud, been on loads of forums for sale but seller never responded when I contacted them and still hasn't...
  5. Well a quick update... had the oil return feed thread repaired and they did an excellent job! Really impressed with the repair, however after fitting the charger, priming the seals with oil etc - and then starting the car it was apparent all was not well with the charger, so whatever damage it sustained on the outer casing, the insides also must have gotten damaged as it made a horrendous noise so it's now been removed AGAIN and has been posted back to L&S Cartec in Germany who I will NEVER be dealing with again. So after speaking to Only Charged Dubs they are sorting me out with a nice custom built spec charger to go on the car... but may take a little while as they are up to their eyeballs in work, but fingers crossed it's sooner rather than later as driving the car without the charger is mind numbingly boring lol.
  6. I know, sorry I couldn't stay bud... Engineering friend of a friend has got the charger now and he says its repairable and should hopefully get it done tomorrow meaning if all goes well it'll be fitted tomorrow evening. Fingers crossed!
  7. Rear quarter windows and tailgate glass stayed in place, however windscreen and side glass was replaced at the same time for items in better condition. Yeah oil return thread is with a friend who has another friend trying to repair it today for me to get it back on the road... Fingers & toes crossed!
  8. Well the new supercharger arrived today... So removed the old one again, went to fit the new one, and its damaged! :( The oil return thread has been damaged whilst being delivered I am guessing, so have messaged the seller on eBay but also have a good friend asking a few contacts who deal with engineering and race engines to try and repair the thread, still enough to ruin my good mood with the respray! One good thing that I did find, was that the car has been fitted with a 68mm pulley and chip which explains why when it was working, it did go well. Well finger crossed my next update will be happy news...
  9. Bet Phil loved it but Kirsty said it wasn't a "sensible investment"...
  10. You may be better off with the Halfords 3/4 year guarantee batteries... Not sure if they're all the same, but the local store here doesn't even check them before swapping them over! Alternatively, a solar charger may be the way to go to ensure it's kept charged up etc.
  11. It was raised to be painted... you can get full coverage of it easily enough, and of all the tailgate underneath/behind it so no worries there. Looked fine to me when I was re-fitting the rear number plate lights anyway ;)
  12. Almost 3 days lol, they had it 10am Monday but still for a weeks work I'm very impressed! :)
  13. Okay, the car is nearly ready for collection...All the glass etc is now back in the car, just needs wiper arms, door handles and door cards to be fitted. Paintwork has been polished to a lovely shine! :) All red rear lights are now fitted onto the car as well, much better than the crystal ones that were on it previously I think as they just seemed a bit "bling" for the direction I am going with this project.
  14. Thanks bud :) Yeah the more I hear about G-Werks the worse it sounds, so I am not surprised it didn't last very long... Shame really though as they used to be a very trustworthy company, to what they are now which is non existent! I've bought new oil feed and oil return lines from Only Charged Dubs, along with all new washers and banjo bolts - I'm not taking any chances! Also need to remove the intercooler and give that a good clean out, although I think most of the metal from the charger blowing up went upwards and into the bonnet, rather than into the pipework but I'll clean it out regardless.
  15. Well today the car has been polished and is in the process of being put back together. Also sprayed the standard rear lights all red...
  16. Is there any way admin could change my username to G60_Chris please... Or Chris_G60 I don't mind which lol. Thank you.
  17. Spectrum in Saltash... I've known Matt there for about 10+years and he's always done my bodywork on cars, always good quality and always a fast turn around which is my pet hate with bodyshops who drag stuff out and work at a slow pace.
  18. Is this event promoted elsewhere at all? Everyone I've asked knows nothing about it... Might be worth creating a facebook event and getting Dan to promote it.
  19. I'll pop along... Should have the car back from the bodyshop by then :)
  20. Primer on and sanded back for a smooth finish... And then some paint... :turn-l:
  21. That's the one :) it'll look a million times better after its back from paint... Hopefully lol. And yep going to keep this one a long time... And the Mrs ;) lol
  22. Oh I didn't realise he'd had his car damaged... :( Wasn't a good day for Corrados by the sounds of it in Exeter that day lol.
  23. Further progress, bodywork prep is well underway prior to paint. Rear badges removed, plates welded in then ground down and smoothed off for a clean rear end... Rear arches pulled to eliminate any rubbing...
