1. In a cleaning mood today. Washed the front grill and panel. Applied polytrol to the black plastics and a slight polish of the badge to get rid of the worst of the oxidation. Sent from my HTC 10 using Tapatalk
2. Could have been, yes. Just a little too far from it to say for sure. Interesting colour though - not seen that one before.
3. Spotted on Shenfield Road towards the A12 roundabout, sitting in 2nd place by some road work traffic lights around 12 noon today. Initially thought blue but it's darker than aqua; and not quite black. Couldn't get close enough to see reg or model but great to see one near by. Thought to check the BP garage for potential fuel stop :) - no joy and didn't see it again. Made my day!
4. That's the one that was on wheeler dealers! 😀 Sent from my HTC 10 using Tapatalk
5. I have seen this one in the flesh at Concorde Classics last year and it is very clean and seemingly well looked after. It's owned by CCGB member KeVR6. There was nice history/story with it although I don't recall the details.
6. If you're stripping it down that far I'd be interested in the _brake servo bracket_, and nuts, that bolts to the bulkhead holding the servo and clutch master cylinder. Nearest part number reference I can find is 357612209A (although that's apparently for lhd??). Maybe price up a bundle including the servo and cylinder if they are in good order? They will be for my 92K and I know there were changes from 93 on so I would like to check the part numbers if/when you can get them. At your leisure though - I am not in urgent need.
7. Looks like a decent purchase. Good luck with getting your project back on the road. Are you planning to keep it OEM?
8. I think it's the first time ever seeing a blacked alternator which is a nice touch. An engine bay as clean as the outside! That's a tonne of effort. Congrats on the results! Looks beautiful.
9. What a smashing vehicle! Wish it was available this time last year when I was looking for one :)
10. Hope you managed to get these in the end. They really look brand new.
11. PM'd to sort out payment and collection date.
12. Hi sparks, I'd like to take these please. Posting would be preferred (RM is OK). However, I might be able to collect next weekend if it's easier. Either way, I am happy to give a deposit (collection) or pay in full P&P (posting). Cheers, Grant
13. Been living in the Shenfield area for a couple of years now. Sent from my HTC 10 using Tapatalk
14. Thanks! I have to say that the camera is quite kind to the blue - stone chips and scratches don't show up :) Yours looks pretty straight though. Great find. Had it long? Sent from my HTC 10 using Tapatalk
15. MOT passed today and I couldn't be more chuffed! First time I've ever seen suspension and brake performance readings at an MOT. Sent from my HTC 10 using Tapatalk
16. Also received mine today, thank you, but had no time to admire them just yet :)
17. Thanks. I'm happy to take it complete as it is. I can collect too - coming from Brentwood, Essex - about 1.5 hours away. If we can agree a price, including grease, and a convenient time to collect? I could potentially do Thursday/Friday evening (will be before 9pm) or anytime over the weekend.
18. I'm interested in the sunroof mechanism please if, at least, the left side is OK. (edit: the metal block on the end of my cable snapped) Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
19. Apologies for the delay - just returned from a show. Now paid - order number 640. Thanks.
20. I like that height. It looks decent and right for the car/wheels. What would you say is the overall drop from standard is there?
21. It has been bothering me since I discovered that one tyre was different (SZ80) to the others (TZ200). Also, on that same corner occasionally it would be noisy and almost sounded like a rear wheel bearing going. Didn't help that it was a rotational tyre and not spinning the right way either. After some research I opted for Bridgestone RE002. There's not a great deal of choice it seems and I wanted to stick with a brand. Found a great place called Tyre-Smart up in Witham, Essex. These guys did some extra cleaning of the wheels (apparently the insides were a bit gunky and could have led to slow leaks) and were fitted + balanced for about £65+VAT each. They did a free four wheel alignment check and found the front cambers and tracking was out. Not much of a surprise to me as the car was pulling to the left (although I knew the front n/s tyre had a leak). I figured it made sense to get it corrected and it has made a significant improvement! Handling and road behaviour are vastly improved. That was about £50+VAT. The Bridgestones are a little softer which made ride comfort noticeably better. On the other hand, the Firestones looked quite old and may have just hardened a bit. Apparently there's a guy with an absolutely mint green Corrado that goes there every so often too. Curious to know if that is someone on the forum :)
22. A shame to hear about the potential break as it looks like a sweet motor - going by your 2013 thread. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
23. Agreed. A lot can happen in 20+ years; and now I'm inclined to check mine :) Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
