Was in Morrison's car park earlier (Gamston, Notts)in my storm and to my surprise, another Corrado let me out at the junction. Couldn't see much of what it was as my windows were misted up. Guy gave me the thumbs up and followed me out onto the Lings Bar Road. Dark coloured, M plate I think, looked nice and clean too... Anyone on here?

Just another thing to check if the fuse for the electric windows pops. Fuse 14 was randomly popping on my car, also taking out the mirrors and reverse lights with it(all on the same fuse). I traced the fault to the live feed for the reverse light switch that had been chafing on the front cross member and shorting out. I made a small repair with solder and heatshrink and re wrapped the loom, had no troubles since.

Had a similar issue with my VR6 a couple of years ago, although the temps didn't get quite as high as yours. Turns out the thermostat had failed and jammed shut. I replaced this, the housing and all the o rings, gave the system a flush out and refilled with G12+ and all was good again.

Any shell will do to be honest, VR6 shells and project cars seem to be the most common at the moment. Wouldn't even mind buying a car without the engine and box as I don't need them. I already have the Seat Ibiza donor car ready to go.

Having been lurking in the shadows for a while now(I thought I had registered already with my usual forum name of 86C) have re registered this evening. Been in to Volkswagens for more years than I ought to mention and had my classic green storm for a couple of years now, luckily it's been a fairly trouble free experience thankfully (the worst thing being a heater matrix replacement I did last year). Now on the look out for a project car to do a PD130 conversion on and have some fun with.
