Yeh the price of VR's even with low miles and full history are dreadful. I think i will keep it i'll just take it back home to Scotland and park it up in my parents garage, just have to make some space though as my little bro has a few vw's of his own stored away!!!!! I just feel that it would be such a shame as its an amazing car to drive and whether it be me driving it or selling it on so someone else can get the pleasure of it. I'll have to think about it. I have the cash for an R32 waiting so selling the VR was just an option so its not parked up.

Cheers for your comments, interesting though i was considering the Gti too but have been looking at the prices of the R32 and they are dropping very fast. Just really fancy the R32 after having a VR, I'm still considering selling the VR but i'm so attached to it i cant bare to see it go as i know i'm going to miss it. The old girl has got loads of life left in her (87000 miles) but i just think i fancy a change. I've considered everything from convertions to turbo/supercharging her but really like the MKV golf. going to go to the stealers and take a test drive and see how it feels. I appreciate your views.

Hi all looking at selling the VR and buying a MKV Golf R32, just wondered if anyone has driven one, what they are like to drive and just any genral thoughts on the car itself. I've seen a 06 plate in silver that i am considering going to see. Its a manual as i would prefer with leather, sat-nav etc. Any feedback would be appreciated. Cheers Imran

Had a very similar problem with mine a while back and it was the coil pack. It had a hair line crack in it. Got a new one and it was back running like a dream. Hope you manage to sort it.

Hi al my steroe has decided that it does not want to work anymore so i'm looking for a new one. I have decided to go for an Alpine just wondered which one to go for. Used to have one years ago, it was a 1.6 and if i am honest i loved it. had it dropped on koni's and it handled like it was on rails. Used to have so much fun on the country lanes in Scotland. They are hard to find in decent condition now as most have been ragged. In all the time i had mine it was reliable enough. Did suffer from a little rust around the rear arch. The 1.9 is fast my older brother had one for a bit and it could shift. They are not a bad wee car.

Cheers dude, thought i had seen a post about them somewhere. have been looking around for suspension for a bit now and man is there too many choices out there. I will give him a pm to see how he is getting on. If they are not the one's for me then i will be in touch about the KW variant 2. cheers, Imran

I love them, and i've just got a set from germany. A mate who live's there sourced them for me. By the way OSV i bid for them one's while my mate was looking for my set. Good buy lad.;)

I myself live in Manchester, but i'm always up in Scotland visiting the family. So either location would be fine for me. If i could find one in Scotland then that would be great as i could use my brothers G60 while mine is off the road. If it was in manchester then i could get a loan of my mates fiesta while mine was off the road. So any of the two places would be cool.

Family live in Stirling, anyone on here know of anywhere round that area or in the Manchester area. Somewhere that you have used yourself. Cheers lads
